Once again, thanks for the fantastic video. In a critical care transport context, we use fentanyl plus either midazolam or propofol almost exclusively (we intubate almost never). Ketamine might be a great one-drug solution, but everyone is scared of it. I'm deeply suspicious of using prexedex for any kind of procedure that isn't instantaneous, like cardioversion. Even at high doses, you can bring someone back up with enough stimuli.

Thanks for the wisdom and context! Makes sense that precedex would be a lot lighter of a sedation than we can get with the other agents. And yeah I do wonder when we will start seeing more ketamine haha I think there’s definitely been a big push to use it more but I agree everyone including myself has much less experience with it still for now!
