OMG/G! I would have sooooo started dancing with him had I been there and saw him moving like that? As a visual artist and dancer I so appreciate his honest and ancestral reaction to Charles White's artwork. BLACKNIFICENT!!! I totally forgot about this performance by Harry Belafonte (and his show). That last note he hits then the camera pans down to the chain on his ankle as he stomps his foot. DUDE!!! These were Black people's inspirations and "redemptions" back then. And, now...

Great video and a fantastic exhibit. Had the pleasure to see it multiple times at MoMA. it is the real deal. I doubt anyone who has commented negatively on this thread has actually seen White’s artwork IRL.
