I would use Publish to Web for Slides to allow students to have a larger view since their screen often is a window pane with the Meet. Great idea hope this works well.

1:42 I don't think you're correct by saying that you can select present entire screen. If you do so, students can see all the splitting screen same as presenter's screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, thank you.

This is good is all students are virtual. Would need to adjust if projecting to in-person students in class and presenting to virtual students at the same time.

Thank you for creating this video! I've just been having two windows open and basically doing a split screen like shown in this video. Is there an added benefit to using Dualless that I missed? (I do like the fact that there are different pre-set proportions that you can select from, but I'm wondering if there are other features that make it better to use this extension instead of just having two open windows?) @The EdTech Show Hi, do you use the Google Meet Attendance together with the Dualless? Does the GMA work properly together? I have a problem if I use them at the same time during my lessons. During the Dualless presentation, the students showed absents in the GMA HTML report. Like the presentation is a blanket that covers the students during the presentation.

When I present my screen, half of my screen always says, "You are presenting." So even if I change my tile view to show more than 16, I can only ever see 16 kids when I am presenting. I notice when you presented your screen, that it only said "you are presenting" in a very small space at the top of your screen. Is there a way I can change this so I can see my whole class and present?

I'm following all of the steps, but it isn't working for me. Whenever I share my screen, my Google Meet loads the message shown at 1:54 (You are presenting your screen), but it never disappears. As such, I can't see the tiled view of my students. I have tried using Dualless, using a second monitor, and signing in on multiple devices. However, it keeps showing me that message no matter what I try. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I was actually able to solve my own problem. No matter what I tried, the tiled view kept getting replaced with the presenting screen message. I noticed that you and another presenter sharing similar content both had Grid View installed. When I added that extension, the tiled view remained when I shared my screen. When I removed the extension, the tiled view was replaced by the message. I hope that information helps others.

You should be able to hover your mouse just between the extension icons and the Star used to bookmark. Your mouse should turn into a grab hand that lets you shrink the URL pane and expand the extension pane.

Nadia, instead of pressing the Present button, go to the URL at the top. You'll see that it ends with /edit delete that and replace it with /preview and hit enter. This will allow you to present without it taking-up your whole screen!

@@DanSpada I will try that. How do you allow your students to click the answers on your powerpoint, which is on your screen. I can do it in Zoom, but we do not have the extended time in our region as yet. So Google Meet is what we can use for long classes. I have animations in my powerpoint slides that are not working in Google Slides when I convert my power point presentation to google slides. Thanks.

@@nadiachiomento8568 i don't believe this is possible with google meet. Peardeck plugin does create some interactive presentations. One limitation is that the way peardeck works is by having students view the presentation in a separate window. So they would not be in the meet window themselves (and it may be tricky to troubleshoot for any students having difficulty navigating multiple tabs.)

There is one major problem with this method. When I did this, the kids could only see "half" of my presentation in a long narrow window. As soon as you go to "present" it shuts off the two-screen mode. Any advice on this?

If that little checkbox doesn't work you can try this: On your computer 1. Go to Sound Control Panel 2. Click on the Recording tab 3. Right click on the Stereo Mix Audio HD 4. Click on Enable Try it on Google Meet 1. Go to settings 2. Click on the Audio tab 3. Set your Microphone to Stereo Mix Audio HD It's a bit more complicated than the checkbox, but that should work as well.

New solution just rolled out this week! In Chrome, use the new "Present Chrome Tab" instead of the Share Screen or Share Window option. It was specifically made to solve this issue, and works pretty well. You'll need to open the youtube/video tab first, so you can select in when you choose the sharing tab.
