This is a very concise tutorial. I have one practical question: when using the math node to combine index 0 and index 4, why does it create a list instead of a result? I would have expected it to output 4 but instead it outputs 0,4? Am I understanding it correctly?

You don't need the viewer node to preview. Select the node and press Alt+Shift+Leftclick!

I didn't remember this one, thanks :) But if we want to see the attribute text, then we need viewer node that's sure.
