This is spectacular. My starting location's inventory looks like an episode of Hoarders. I have so many random pieces of armor and unneeded weapons that I could outfit an entire ORG. I was dreading having to sit there spamming quick sell.

You 'should' also be able to just rightclick the box in your inventory window and select 'open' and it will open it in its own window with out having to drop it on the floor first. Then you cna drag/drop into it from your inventory

Just don't do it while you are in your ship, though, as it bugs out your local inventory, and therefore, you won't be able to see any of your gear as it just appears empty. If you are transferring from local inventory (like port tresslor) while outside of your ship into a sub category like a box then it doesn't bug out

I've been doing this for some time now, didn't realize it wasn't known about, but keep in mind selling Weapons and Armor at the Cargo Center give half the profit. Be smart with what you sell this way. I keep my high selling gear separate and sell them individually. Medium selling Gear I stick in a Container and sell this way, Low selling Gear I don't bother with as you tend to lose SCU over nothing.

@@slandshark When I mean the Cargo Center buy for Half Price, you then have to go back to the tedious way of selling individual items to Armor and Weapon Stores as they do not purchase Containers. This is only if you want to try and get maximum profit, but if you are after just to quickly sell them, and not fussed all that much, then there is nothing wrong with taking a slash in price for convenience. Unfortunately, you also can't rename Containers. I don't know why such basic things have not been here for QoL to help the Community enjoy themselves. The Cargo update will be interesting, but I wouldn't be looking forward to any features making handling their inventory system very well.

Caution: You take a 900 aUEC hit on selling the 1SCU container. Buys for 2k, sells for 1.1k. If you could only sell the contents of the container this would be amazing.

I think it's irrelevant. Most players doing this aren't going to care about a 900 credit hit. It's a great way to clear out your inventory. Thanks for the tip

@@IIITangentIII If the goal is earning credits then it's good to know the trade offs. As long as you are filling the container with valuable gear then the profit far outweighs the cost. For example 1 Duster helmet sells for 990aUEC. But ammo is cheap and sells for even less. A quick way to clear out cheap items would be to move it to a ship with a quick reclaim timer.

pro tip if the scu box says its infinite it actually is infinite just the only way to move items to and from a infinite scu box is to open the loot screen first then at the top right open the legacy inventory i had a single scu box at 600% capacity

Hey buddy, you can actually spawn those crates anywhere on the station/city... so assuming you've got all your goods in local inventory already, the process is the same - you wont be able to access your ships inv by not being on it - so move everything to local first.

Once when I was trying to get it through the front door of the bunker. And once on the lift before descending into the bunker. Sorry for not being clear... Those things are lethal.

Fortunately these more recent distro location based missions give you access to a local inv while at the mission location itself, so you can strip the corpses down very easily and quickly, collect all the extra guns straight to the local inventory. Then just move it all in one go to either a container or ship! So much better than dragging a crate down into a bunker and taking that risk 😅

@@RicoZaid_ You can use the 1SCu and 2 SCU containers that are generated from destroyed ships, since they are free (at the expense of blowing upa shp). Just find a ship, any ship, load up its inventory with crap, then blow up the shiip. Container created, up to 2SCU in size. These containers do not snap to cargo grid like the store-bought ones do, but that makes them better in a way.

Warning! Do not sell stacked items using this method. If you have a stack of helmet or arms for example, it will only count it as 1 helmet. Also you cannot sell boxes higher than the 2 SCU.

For those that don't realize it: this method ALSO SELLS THE CONTAINER. So, only do it if the value of the loot inside is enough to justify losing the container too. In most cases, as long as you wait till it's full, the ROI will usually be worth it. But, don't try selling a handfull of items thinking you'll still have the box afterward. You'll have to repurchase another box, so be sure it's worth it.

Don't put stuff in the box if you want to keep it! Especially helmets! I mean don't use the boxes for storage instead of selling right now as you cannot get items back out of them due to a bug. Some you can get back out one at a time by selecting inspect or carry, but others have no option to remove.

Unfortunately looks like this got patched finally I have not been able to sell containers in cargo center for over a week, I have 10 scu 1s, 5 scu 2s, 2 scu 4s and 1 scu 8. But the 8 does show up to sell but whenever I try it says failed
