Intresting infomation. I worked on a feture film here in OZ ten years ago. It's in the can and ready to go but the film maker hasn't been able to get it to market, "I'm not high enough up the food chain to know all the details but" the around one hundred people involved in the production would like to see the film out there.

When your a producer going to the markets, besides business cards what else do you recommend having on hand ?

Mostly, you want to have a goal. Why are you going to the film market? What do you hope to accomplish? How can you bring value to the relationship? Those are all thinks to plan before you go.

What about having an idea but no book or movie? I have an idea I think would be nearly as good as the Unbroken movie.

I have a book on life story I wrote like to make a movie out of it who are some contacts I can send
@filmmakingstuff4 күн бұрын
That’s amazing! Turning a life story into a movie is a big step. Start by researching production companies or agents who specialize in true stories or adaptations. You can also reach out to independent filmmakers or pitch to smaller studios that accept unsolicited work. Networking at local film festivals or joining writer/filmmaker groups online can also connect you with the right people. Best of luck-your story deserves to be told! 🎥📚✨

I've been to AFM and it's.... okay. I'm always wary of finding a distributor because I've heard so many horror stories. But I'm open to someone writing me a check! We make low budget high production quality movies. Rideshare, The Cat Town Story, and Simp (coming soon). Would love to hear more about you and your company. Perhaps we should talk!

Everyone wants someone to write a check. But that generally doesn't happen unless you have famous actors attached to your project, or if you project has some other forms of leverage. Next time you go to AFM, focus on meeting people and making friends. Before you have credibility, you need the connections.
