How to sell your zines (Part 1 of 2). How to self-publish a photo book or zine. Previously I've covered how to make your own photo book or zine. So hopefully you've got some zines to sell! In this first of a two part video I cover:

in the end, people will support what you do. im workin on my first zine and selling them for $20. If people dont think an EXCLUSIVE PHOTO BOOK is not worth $20, then they're not your customer. As a ROOKIE SHOOTER, This is a way to support my craft. i love photos for whats captured not the quality. i dont know of anyone who is educated in photography specs to not like a photo taken from a 24mp camera. lol. As we can see, all of these photo apps offer so many VINTAGE FILTERS... go figure! lol anyhow, Thanks for sharing your journey!

This is really inspiring, thanks for sharing with us. Do you have to get a release or consent from the people in the photos to be able to sell the zines? Asking from a UK perspective too. I've been thinking of a street photo zine but wasn't sure about the legalities. Thanks again

My background is in photojournalism and you don't get model releases. Public space in UK is fine.

Hi Ed. Great videos as ever and of course I would love to be in the running for the free zine. I’m doing my first zine later this year and your videos have been a godsend. Pricing is an interesting one. Is it just me or does it seem that zines are madly more expensive in the US than here? Do you think it’s because we have Bump Books here keeping us honest or maybe that we as Brits are undervaluing ourselves?

Maybe we know we'd be taking the piss if we asked too much for a zine! Ha! It's a really good point, I've got a mortgage and all that stuff...it'd be good to make more money! I think it's just a simple matter of fairness. Like I say in the video the zines cost me £2.20 to print. I think £8 is a reasonable price. I just like the idea of someone having my work. What's your zine about? How far are you into it?
