With sales navigator you also have the option to connect with them and add a message. Would you recommend connecting with them or sending them an inmail message? I’m actually a web developer and I’m reaching out to recruiters to see if they can help me land new contracts, here’s the message I’ve been sending them: Hey [name], I'm a web developer specializing in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and the IT part of websites. I'm wondering if you can help me find contracts that are about 20 hours per week? Outside of the name (mentioned in video) are there other changes you’d recommend to make to my approach? I know you’re busy so any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I'd send the message like this so the preview text looks different, but also gives them some context which they might be interested in. In general I'd send blank connection requests, and then for people who don't accept the connection request after 7-14 days you can send them InMails. Hope this helps!

@uptowncreation I tried this method but after sending like 30 messages to the "open accounts" I was stopped with a message that read "You have used all your inMail credits, you can message again next month". I had a chat with LinkedIn support and they said that was now the case. Are you still able to send messages to "open profiles" after your "quota" is up?

Chris, Wanted to get an update from you on this video. I'm a heavy user of LinkedIn Sales Navigator but certainly not with all it's search functionality. It appears the Spotlight feature options are no longer available. Looks like it might be for the Recruiter option only. Can you verify that functionality? How about the search feature for posting on LI in the last 30 days and or changed jobs in the last 90 days? Not seeing that granularity now. I appreciate any clarity you can provide. Good catch. The features are still there, but instead of being under Spotlights they're now under "Recent Updates". Also, they don't mention the time frame, but it's still posted in last 30 days and changed jobs in last 90 days. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I've been seeing that on some accounts - you can try differentiating the copy of the message you're sending (so it isn't the same message over and over again). You can also try again in 7 days.

Not all premium profiles are open profiles - many are because that is the default, but you will encounter some that require a credit

Definitely isn't the best strategy if it requires local business or lower ticket offers. You don't need to sift through 100k profiles though. You only need to find 800 per month and that's easy work. Especially if you're LTV on a client is over $5k.

Could you explain why that is? Also, in that method, you don't send a message with the connection request. Is it better to send a message or not? Excited to help on your LinkedIn journey! So you can only send 200 connection requests per week, which gets you to 800 per month. Alot of times I'll talk in weekly numbers because that's where the limit is imposed, and if you miss a week of 200 connection requests you'll never be able to get those back. So the strategy of 800 connection requests per month is absolutely still the current advice. There is a video I made talking about how to generate leads on LinkedIn in 2024 and that gives a pretty complete breakdown.
