Hi Skill, love the content, very informative. I wanted to ask, I used distrokid in the past, and upon every release they gave me ISRC codes for each song. I stopped using the service about a year later. So I wanted to ask, since I'm not registered with SAMRO yet, will SAMRO give me new ISRC codes, and if so, will the previous ISRC codes cause a problem? Thanks again for your videos, big up.

Hi SAMRO doesn't assign ISRC codes. So there are no issues.

No, you don't. A song has an ISRC code and other metadata such as your name, length and genre.

Thgis no longer work. I am currently retrying this method but whenever I select "Membership" it takes me to the list of members. I am registered by the way. I am about to send them an email. Can you update this if you manage to get to figure it out first

You can check on the samro portal. To redo it, you have to go back to studio or re-mix and master the song.

Samro doesn’t have an app yet. It’s not a streaming service after all so has totally different needs. SAMPRA does though.

@@SkillMusicSA I did end up calling SAMPRA and for interest's sake, you actually have to register the song twice if you have more than ten artists, but you can still do it online. It sounds weird to me, but the lady seemed pretty sure. So now we all know :)
