It's so interesting how many of these are broken by pros and not penalized for it like bouncing the ball over the service line or hitting the ball with one or more feet on other side of the court

Great video recap about serve rules. I would like to add two things. 1 - This is a clarification of a rule: in case of LET (the ball hits the net and goes inside the receiving part of the court) you repeat the serve. Not the first serve, the current serve. If it's your second serve you don't repeat the first serve, but the second one. 2 - This is a question: let's say for example that I serve from right to left. You have to bounce the ball on your part (right in our example). But what about the hit? Can I bounce the ball in the right part and hit the ball in the left part? What about foot? Can I hit the ball, that bounced in the right part and cross the areas, with my foot in the left part if the serving area?

The waist-height rule must be changed. It's inconsistent because it varies from player to player.

What happens if serve hits the net, bounces in service box, then goes out the door before the second bounce? I have been told it is a let and still first serve

Jup that is correct. Seen in the ppl and in the european Championship

It’s a let when the out of court play is permitted. With no out of court play it is not a let but instead a fault.

If out of the court play is allowed = let, if is not allowed, fault!

So its a fault if it bounced twice after a serve?
@the4Set4 ай бұрын
Nope! Its point for the server
@raiyanrahman58064 ай бұрын
@@the4Setis it a point for the server if the serve bounces twice in the opponents service box or is it a fault?

What if the serve of the opponent goes to the fence, but I hit the ball back anyway before it hits the fence? Whose point is it?
@charliecrews48644 ай бұрын
The point needs to be played. So when you return a good ball you continue to play.
@the4Set4 ай бұрын
If you hit the ball before it hits the fence we will never know if finally it would hit the fence so you have to play the point! Hahaha

What if it hits the net, bounces in, then misses the fence, goes out of the door and bounces outside the court?
@the4Set4 ай бұрын
If the outside-court play is allowed, first service! If not, its out

Which of the two serves was illegal? Dont see it
@charliecrews48644 ай бұрын
After two illegal serves, the server loses the point.
@charliecrews48644 ай бұрын
The illegal one had the ball bouncing above waist.

Hahahha that's it!

It was almost impossible to notice but the one above the waist xD

How do you define the waist? Where the belly button is?

How about cases where players bounce the ball beyond the imaginary center line?
@charliecrews48644 ай бұрын
That is considered a faulty serve.
@gregorykwok55244 ай бұрын
However, it is my understanding that one can bounce the ball on the proper side, at an angle, and make contact with the ball on the other side of the imaginary line.

@@gregorykwok5524 According to ChatGPT (and me ;-): In padel, the rules governing serving are quite specific and do not allow for bouncing the ball inside the court just before serving.

You're right! Thats one of the trick I wanna explain in another new video
