I don’t have this bike, but I saw one yesterday and it interested me. You did a fantastic job of explaining the needs of your bike. Your explanations were very user friendly for anyone that buys or currently owns the NC. Unfortunately for me, I’m not a chain drive kind of a rider, I prefer shaft drive since it’s cleaner, in my humble opinion. Thanks tho, it was a pleasure viewing your process.

Thanks, Jesus! I have reviewed many bikes on this channel (lots of shaft-drive bikes as well as chain-drive machines). You can check out my motorcycle review playlist here: kzbin.info/aero/PL0gjN9hf6pSrz8x_DmMFEtJj_w65wQG_M

Picked up a 2014 700x with DCT a month back with 4000 miles on it, two year old tires, and recently serviced. I'm loving it so far. I just wasn't sure how to maintain it because there was no manual whatsoever. Now, I'm covered. Thanks!

Right on. I've done that job, and it is a nightmare, though not as bad as a CT700. Cheers!

Sounds like we picked up similar used NCs. Mine is a 2016 bought from a coworker. Only had 1,400 miles or so on it 2 yrs ago, just under 9,000 now. Getting ready to do an oil change, coolant drain/fill, and brake fluid replacement. Then I'll be good for a couple more years.

Great Video! thx! ...use torque wrench specially on bolts used on a metric bike. However...There are places that even a torque wrench can get you into BIG TROUBLE QUICK... handle bar clamps for one!

Every 12k km the valve clearance has to be checked. Have you done this aswell?

when you lubricated the chain that was wrong because you have to put the grease on the inside of the chain and then the grease can do his work now its flying directly to the rear wheel and does not do his job well grts from belgium
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35383 ай бұрын
Hi Joseph, newer chains are internally lubricated and sealed with o-rings. Cleaning them and lubricating them is more about removing abrasive grime and then protecting the links from corrosion on the outside. I make sure all exterior surfaces of the chain are coated with the chain wax - it doesn't sling off the chain like traditional lube. Cheers!

В фильтр масло наливать не нужно..)
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35384 ай бұрын
Предварительное заполнение масляного фильтра помогает давлению масла подняться немного быстрее при первом запуске после замены масла. Вам не обязательно это делать, но я продолжу предварительно заполнять фильтр. Ваше здоровье!
@moto88084 ай бұрын
@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 теоретически промасляную бумагу быстрее порвёт давлением, чем сухую.. Две лишние секунды на заполнение фильтра роли не сыграют, в двигателе остаётся масляная плёнка..

"E-Brake"? Dude it's a parking brake. Not for emergencies! If you did use it as an emergency brake it will be locked on and if tightly adjusted lockup your rear wheel, then you really will have an emergency while riding one-handed.
