I got two paslode framers for 60 bucks because they were "parts only" Took them home. Cleaned then. Put new gas in. Worked like a charm. Flipped both of them, bought the M18 Framer kit and still had 165 profit lol
@thedone13422 ай бұрын
I’ve seen a lot of people talk bad about it, but sometimes things are misleading so I’d like to know your perspective since you own a 18 and it’s been 3 years
@evictioncarpentry26282 ай бұрын
@@thedone1342 I have zero issues with it. I think the biggest issue with any battery nailer is theyre heavy. Paslode is lighter. But also not as powerful and needs constant maintenence & new fuel cans. The M18 will sink nails in LVL and the paslode doesn't fully sink them, you have to finish with a hammer. Having said all this, I think they're both still good for casual framing and small jobs. If I was framing all day everyday I'd be running a good air setup. I have pretty much all the M18 nailers now except the 16gauge because I never use that gauge nail. They've all been great.

I'm sure brake cleaner is melting any seals in your gun, they're very clear about using only paslode cleaner and oil in there guns for a reason. I'll pay the £10-£12 a can and service myself happy on the knowledge that I've done it correctly cheaper than sending it in for a service

Top man. These Paslode gas nailers have got a bad reputation for reliability, but, regular maintenance as you show in your video, is cheap, easy and doesn't take long, and will keep them working sweet. 💪
@evictioncarpentry26283 жыл бұрын
That's because they're crap. Everytime you go to use one they don't fire properly whether it be old gas. Cold gas. Or dirty. Don't get me wrong. They're light and they're pretty powerful but they need updating.

Have you used the Milwauke framing nailer? If so how does it Hikoki compare? I have the Milwauke and ended up buying the paslode after using one. Milwauke ergonomics is not great and also heavy but it does have massive power. Milwauke basically goes unused.
@damonalagich4524 Жыл бұрын
3.3kg vs 4.8kg- you must not be doing lots of framing(especially nailing upper or doing roofing) to want to do that to yourself, see how you go after doing that for a decade or so, see what damage it does to your shoulder and elbow- the operation is over 15grand!

I fix these guns quite abit on the side of my proper job and use exactly the same cleaner holts from euro very suprised you havent burned any motors out mate i used to do what u do spray it all over the motor its happened twice to me please dont go viligant on the back side of motor were wires are you will eventuallu burn one out even tho it does evapourate quickly it will still kill them and motors are alot of £££ this is why paslode cleaner is also expensive as its made to be safe on the electricals also please take this in mind although holts is cheap and good for the rest mate just a note...

Il keep that in mind thanks !
@davidandrewbrent15193 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Would agree to not spray like a mad man, will kill the gun right quick… the Paslode cleaner with the straw once a month and don’t oil the driver pin, muck builds up fast on that and will cause jams or misfires or double nails fired… just a couple drops in the back section and thats it. Less is more.

Can you tell me what returns the piston to the start position ready for the next nail. My gun fires the first nail but the piston does not return allowing the next nail to move up? Help much appreciated. Excellent video thanks.
@sidstewart73992 жыл бұрын
Have you sorted it? Take the nails out..then make sure the firing pin is pushed right up so the cylinder head is at the top. Use something thin to push it up. Then put in the nails and try a couple of shots.

@@jackhines3747 apparently it’s slightly more powerful but I prefer the shape of the 350. Also it fires the full headed nails instead of the clipped ones but you can actually fire both through it but paslode don’t recommend

Ah my bad! Yes they are different guns lol. The ci is also a lot louder but doesn’t miss fires as much and can go a lot faster. And like you said I prefer the grip or shape of the older one. Both great guns though
