You don’t want to apply grease to the plastic threads. You should use locktite. It could work itself loose.

My Look keo is 9 yo, and looking like new with one maintaince recently. Meanwith my mtb HT pedals lasted two winters and axels almost completely done.

keo classic 3 pedal has taken a lot of casualties in our place, they fall off the bike because the pedal binds hard and is very difficult to release, even though the pressure has been set with low tension. for safety they replaced the keo classic 3 pedal with another brand.

I notice that a 3/4" 12-point ratcheting box wrench works on the bearing retainer with all the bumps.

A bit off subject, bear with me: how do you make the spring easier to unclip? I have it at the easiest setting, and despite having ridden on them for a few months, still nasty to unclip from. A rider suggested spraying Pledge or using dry lube. Someone else shaving down the cleats. Suggestions?

what alan key size is that? I've tried 6mm and 8mm with my keo look 2 and it doesn't work.

Cool vid! What about fixing the spring? I've also Look pedals and the right one doesn't hold the cleat properly. I tried to tension the spring with the screwdriver but nothing changed. I don't want to throw away these pedals if there's a chance to fix them. Any idea? Thanks!

They are called easy because they are easy to unclip from 👌 I have fallen once before quite funny alone on the country road 😂

Degreasing, cleaning, and regreasing the bearing would be advisable, if you are already talking it apart this far

No one EVER actually shows the REMOVAL of the bearings and fitting REPLACEMENTS.....do they?

It is important that you give correct instructions on undoing the collars Left pedal is right hand thread ie normal direction.Right pedal has a left hand thread so make sure you are not forcing the collar the wrong way as these threads are plastic. There is a proper tool available for undoing the Easy pedal collars. I hope you did not use those pliers!!
