Hi Ashley, with services a tip when draining of the oil is to crack open the oil filling caps this will help vent drain all the oil.. also a sacrifice oil fill.. so replace all oil to correct level .. start and operate machinery for 10 to 15 minutes under load .. when the engine oil has cooled down but oil still warm.. drain off.. then refill with new oils.. you be surprised how much sludge will be still contained on your sumps.. 👍😀 keep up your good work bro .👍

Really useful! I didn't know that each place needed different oil! You should also check your unloader valve and inline filter of you have them. Also, you can wash your airfilter in petrol and let it dry. Never needed to replace my original one.

It would have been a good idea for me to have watched this video a long time ago Ashley. I kept meaning to get around to servicing my own pressure washer but never seem to have had the time! My final pressure washing job taught me a harsh lesson, as it went belly up, with an almighty bang! That was the end of it, it wasn't fixable & my pressure washing days ended there!

A black sparkplug doesn't mean it's bad. The new one will become black really quickly so there is really no need to replace one unless it goes bad. Also you don't need to replace the oil screw every time you change your oil, why would you do that? If the screw is not striped then you can use it forever.

Quick question... I want to get into roof cleaning and gonna get the scraper you suggested etc. Is it easier or harder when the moss is damp vs dried out? I thought maybe its a good winter job as it's soft but could be tougher work in summer when it's dry? I find dry gutter cleaning much harder!
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын

I service mine every 10 jobs might be over kill but better safe than sorry also I clean the air filter foam and soak in fresh engine oil also I would get into the habit of checking valve clearances. Yeah, not all taps run quick enough for the machine, so I set mine up so it draws the water it needs from the bin. You could even feed two hoses into the bin if you have access to 2 taps. Or just reduce the revs a little, but then you won’t get the same power out of it.😃👍🏼

Are the manufacturers of these machines living under a rock? Why no holes under the drain bungs so oil dosent go everywhere? Pre buy your service parts and wait until you have used your machine and it’s still hot, dump your oils while all the particles are in suspension in the oil ie: immediately. Wait for it to cool before re filling. Blow around spark plug to remove debris before removing plug. Set your spark plug gap before screwing plug in by hand only before applying ratchet spanner. It would be good idea to adjust valve lash clearance, for that motor, is lots on KZbin about it. Never use 98 Ron fuel or burnt exhaust valves. Purge out all air in supply hoses if you want your pump to live a long life, and never run a pump without water while testing a machine, or run it without flow trigger on for long periods. If it’s someone else’s hose, flush it first before connecting to supply. Cover your open ends with a cap to stop hornets building a nest.
