How to Set a Different Notification Sound for Individual Apps on Android

The one thing I hate about the pixel is the settings. They're in depth in some parts and surprisingly shallow in others. It took me ages to prevent snap notifications from popping up on screen and now I need a video to change the app sound

that sounds like Android in general, to me. some OEMs like Samsung make certain features more user-facing, but almost everything is buried within settings/menus

Been on a search for approximately 2 weeks for how to put a different sound to KZbin notifications. Was wondering why I didn't hear any. Come to find out, they were on silent. After seeing so many other videos which only changed general notification sound, I just got frustrated and stopped. Not sure how I came across you, but SO glad I did. I have a Samsung S20 FE, I wanted to set sound for Facebook and Gmail notifications. All settings seem to be OK, but I don't have any sounds and push notifications. For text messages all works good.

I just came from a Xperia 5 to a Pixel 6 pro, and I miss on the Xperia 5 that every notification had some kind of default sound. So I could tell when an outlook email message came through because it had the default Microsoft sound. And the same for other apps rather than making them all my custom sounds. Do you know how to do that?

I want diff sounds for diff contacts in fb messenger but it is impossible. Only can have one sound. Also, u can just long press the app icon and tap the info button to get where u went...saves time vs your way.

This option hasn't been available for any of the phones Ive had for the past 5 or so years Ive had a phone. I thought this kind of option would've already been a thing for at least 15 years already, standard across all phones! This is almost like that time I found out that non-nintendo gamers hadnt had gyro in their controllers for aiming more accurately in games until more recently. Here I thought it was standard for *years* and a no-duh addition to any gaming controller, I got so used to it on the 3DS a decade ago.

Thanks for the video but you talk REALLY SLOW! For those of you that don't know there's a little settings button at the bottom left of the KZbin video where you can adjust the play speed. I set this video to 1 1/2 times the speed to make it tolerable.
