Just got a new to us 9660 from a 9610 and cutting wheat in eastern Iowa. This video helped so much! Lots of new things to get used to and like you said reading the book sucks. This has helped us get everything setup and cleared up some confusion I had about some of the terms that I did read from the manual. Appreciate the video greatly.

Forgot to add the snippet, but you have to change the separator speed. Which is a handle you push in and out of 1st, Neutral, and 2nd (high). The handle is located above the little control box for the chopper.

Well you taught me somethings😂. I’m from Alberta and do wheat and canola mainly. We got our 04 9860 two years ago as well and upgraded from a Massey 8680. So big change as well, it all being adjustable in cab. But anyways we were trying to drop canola staw last year and I couldn’t get it to drop any but dust lol. But now I’m sure everything is on the fastest settings. So will be fine going into wheat soon here haha. We’ve also been told by the previous owner that he put the concave cover plates in on the front three concaves, to help fully thresh the wheat the first time thought and not over load the rethresh. I’m not sure if this would matter to you if your only doing 30ac. Curious what header are you running??? Got a 30ft 962 harvest head here. First time not swathing. Thanks for showing me I can update my monitor.

Glad I could help! Like you said about the concaves, just too much of a hassle to change out for little acres. We had about 80 this year, but only because we are tiling a lot. We run a 35’ header (635F) platform. It is a big change being able to adjust most settings in the cab, but a lot easier. Still learning this machine as well, thought I would share my learnings :)
