What would such a default setting do, exactly? Most of these are for reactions to generic links, like links to go to a web page, links to send an email, links to make a call. There is no generic "link to a song." You can create a link to Apple Music, and you can create a link to Spotify, but those are separate things, not generic. You wouldn't want a Spotify link to take you to Apple Music, or vice-versa, depending on a setting. Probably be some nasty outrage at that, not to mention lawsuits.

Gary. My iPhone 16 only show Apple apps it doesn’t give me a choice to default. I have Hotmail account it doesn’t show up though it’s on my email accounts also I have what app is doesn’t show up in messages default either , even google doesn’t show up for search engine why?

Do you have an Hotmail app though? Remember, this is for default apps, not email services. If you just want to get Hotmail on your iPhone, you'd use the Mail app for that. But if you wanted an alternative email app other than Mail, this is where you'd specify that. What's App I don't think shows up because it is not an alternative SMS messages app, it is its own system, perhaps?
