Sweet thanks, I have the 2206AN and the Mt50. Also a LIFEPO4 100Ah like yours. I haven't installed it yet and was getting worried that I needed to hook it up to a pc or an android phone to change the user parameters. Also my instruction booklet mentions the 'user' setting but doesn't have any details for a LIFEPO4 so thanks for the info.

Hey Pete. Thanks - not the best quality video but hopefully can get the point of how to change user settings. Download the latest manual from EPever site and it will have the charge settings for LiFePO4 in there.

Hi Will Thanks for the comment. Yes it works correctly. The only thing you can’t change with the mt50 is the temperature setting I think. No this is the original mt50. I have not seen or used any new models.

Hey bud, been looking everywhere for an answer to this so I hope you can help out. I have 2 x 105ah batteries in paralell. Do I set the ah on the controller to 105 or 210 as there are two batteries?

Hey mate - sorry for the slow reply. So in parallel you add the A and the volts stay the same. So yes it will now be a 12V 210ah battery!. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

What do you do for 24v 2 x 12v in series? Where do you put in the 8s value for the lithium battery

Hey mate - so for 24v system you just double all the 12V values. For 8S, the manual shows a 3s set of charging voltages. To get the 8S voltages you just multiply each voltage by 2.66 (8/3). Hope that helps.

Hello friend, how are you? My MT 50 works normally with the solar panel OFF, but when I turn the panel on it restarts. I turn off the panel and it goes back to normal, the 40a Epever is normal, charging the batteries, inverter ok, everything works, what could it be? I tested with another network cable and the same thing, it's as if when connecting the solar panel the voltage on the RJ45 changed and it restarted.

That is very strange. It shouldn't happen as long as you still have the batteries connected.. You should speak to supplier about a replacement.

Hey James. Sorry I missed your comment. So up until very recently you have not been able to change the custom user profile via the controller. Only via an MT50,app or computer. EPever have updated the firmware now so this is possible. When I get a controller with it uploaded I'll do another video.

I have downloaded the parameter for LIFEPO4 but they don't give anything for Equilize duration and Boost duration, what would be the correct numbers? Where did you get your numbers, they are different than the ones in the manual. Thank You for this video!

Hi Julie - very sorry I didn’t see this comment. I just leave the durations as original - 120mins I think. The numbers should be from the manual or the battery manufacturer specifications.

Suggested in the previous manual setting's of the MT-50 (non lithium) is 120. User is 20 to 180. New suggested Lithium settings for the MT-50 the equalize duration is not mentioned. that's why I wondered what you put in :-0)

Hi mate. Battleborn are LiFePO4 chemistry. Go to the manual and use the charge voltages recommended for LiFePO4.

Hi Sergio - The chart for battery voltages? These are in the EPever product manuals. You can find all of them on EPever website.

Will I have issues if I can not get the temp sensor to the Lithium iron phosphate battery. 40amp epever mppt an. It did come with a small supstitute like probe with no extension

Hi Ed - lack of a temp sensor cable won't stop the charger from working. The little prob is a temp sensor so it will read temp at the controller. The risk of no temperature sensor at the battery is the controller won't disconnect if the battery get's too hot or cold.

Note: with A/AN/BN controllers the temp probe is only used to temp-adjust charging voltage for lead-chemistry batts. I hear the Xtra/Triron can do cold temp shutoff for Li but I cannot confirm.

Nope. You cannot alter the user setting with app and dongle or mt50. I think the newest xtra model software will let you do it with out mt50

Ciao - puoi usare l'impostazione "Sigillato". Non hai bisogno dell'MT50 per impostarlo, puoi usare lo stesso MPPT. Se si utilizza l'MT50, scorrere fino a "sigillato" anziché "utente". L'mppt dovrebbe trovare automaticamente se è 12/24V.

Is the lead acid preset settings good or should user be better?

Hi Brett. The lead acid preset settings are usually fine. Check your battery and see if it has any specific charging information or voltages. If they differ from the standard profiles you can customise them with user. Most of the time for standard lead acid batteries you don't need to do that.

From what I've found for regular batteries it's a good program, the only problem is if your using lithium batteries. The 13.8 float is a little to high for lithium, so if you change batteries you would want to use user and lower it to 13.5. Just thought I'd mention it in case you ever switch batteries.

@@jeffescortlx Hey Mate - In the manual pg 24, it tells you the relationships between each setting. For boost it has to be less than OVD, CLV, EQC and bigger than Float, BRV etc. If it does not comply with any of these it won't let you change them. You need to go through and adjust each setting in order so it doesn't throw out it ie. You would need to lower all the voltages below boost first so it doesn't fail.

@@sunbiasolaroffgridsolution6545 once it fully charged I got a flashing red light on the MT50 and fast flashing green on the tracer controller. The manual says that that means the battery voltage higher than overvolt disconnect voltage. But how is that possible when the OVD is set to 25.4 and charge limit is set to 25.2. If the charge limit is 25.2 how can it see higher than 25.4? Do you have recommended user settings parameters for 6 cell lithium battery bank? I don't want to exceed 25.2v (4.2v per cell). Thank you.

Hey mate - the only reason it says and MT50 does not support lithium is because you can't change the temperature cut off setting. This would be important if you expect your batteries to experience temperature ranges outside the manufacturers recommendations.

Mate i wish it was that easy. Im using user 24v lithium iron 18650 cells and after 2 hours of playing i cant get it to load. No matter what i do i get a para error. Its driving me nuts.

Im getting somewhere... :) finally. I wrote down each parameter and voltage. Going through the list i was able to see which setting was not allowed compared to others. Quite a mission..

@@markkennard861 hey mate. Yeah it’s a pain if you don’t know. You have to adjust the voltages in a specific order otherwise it can’t accept it because not obeying the algorithm rules. The manual shows you all the rules. I had a markup of what order to do it in. If I find my mark up showing the order I’ll send it to you. Send me an email if you like

@@sunbiasolaroffgridsolution6545 Yes indeed. As great as they are its not documented on how to aproach programing. Think you need to start at the end of the list and work your way to the start. As a guide i set the user parameters to the N06 preset figures and worked from there.
