I miss the days of carbonated engines they had their quirks but man nothing beat the sound and you had to learn how to wrench on them. I learned something new watching this video appreciate you passing on your wisdom brother

Cams in my WR have high lift and extremely long duration for exhaust scavenging. It will barely idle at 750rpm. Such a great engine

Just wondering if you’ve ever done anything with the V-Rod engines. Considering the heat in Florida, it might be a good choice for a city cruiser.
@BillyLaneChoppers5 ай бұрын
I have not. I prefer older stuff I can tune with a screwdriver

@@BillyLaneChoppers I understand, I don’t do well with modern technology myself, that’s why I stick to the older muscle cars, I know what I’m looking at , I don’t need a computer to tell me what’s up. Although right now, the W-30 I spoke to you a few months ago is throwing me curves I’ve never encountered. Just ordered an original intake from your neck of the woods, hopefully it will cure what ails it.

Hey Billy ! Me is Fred from the Netherlands , Love your videos and learn alot from ya bouth shovelheads need your knowhow abouth custom wiring a neutral switch . I use a ledligth ,1 wire to the ignition and the other wire to the neutral switch , DOES not work ? replaced 3 switches...if I take the wire to the neutralswitch and ground that the light goes on ? whats wrong ? Please help out , can,t find nothing on the web...
@BillyLaneChoppers5 ай бұрын
The neutral switch connects the circuit to ground. One wire to the light is all you need

Good stuff!! Messing with a friends '47 flatty that has a Morris mag that seems to have intermittent sparking issues but also has an issue with kicker. I think it has too much shaft end play and the kicker gear on the far left of the trans isn't engaging firmly causing it to slip when kicking, not giving me a full stroke kick. Any idea on how much end play is too mcuh?? The manual I have doesn't seem to list any specs that I can find
@BillyLaneChoppers5 ай бұрын
It’s not the end play. You need a new crank gear set. They wear out, or the bushing wears on it.
