for anyone who can’t find the option in 2024, id you go to settings, system, display, graphics settings, then browse, you can add a game/ file and then hit options and hit like example instead of let it decide, hit high performance gpu 🎉

I think I have traversed all of Google for answers but there are literally none and none that are helpful to me. My huge issue is the "Preferred Graphics Processor" option in the "Global Settings" tab is not there. It is a missing option for me, gone, does not exist in my NVIDIA Control Panel. I don't know why but it's just not there. And also, that along with the "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program" in the "Program Settings" tab is also gone, reduced to literally nothing, not even the remnants of its ashes. There is no: 1. Select a program to customized. And 2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program. And 3. Specify the settings for this program. There is no 2. There's never been a 2. option. In fact, it completely SKIPS 2 and moves on its merry way to 3 instead! I tried updating the NVIDIA graphics thing and redownloading the product type I have, and then restarting the computer but nope, ain't nothing happenin. I'm not sure if it's just me having this problem or what have you, but I have the tiniest feeling that the "Preferred Graphics Processor" option does not exist and is in fact just a myth.

These setting doesn't force all application to use nvidia graphic cards. E.g. Windows 10 Video Editor continues to use Integrated Intel Graphic Cards.

updated to newest and still not an option. Running a 3080 fe and a 3060ti fe. Always defaulting to the 3060ti even though it is in the bottom x16 slot. I have tried new drivers. I have removed and left just the 3080 in and Ran DDU. Installed new drivers, then powered down and added the 3060ti, and it goes right back the the lower card. No way to switch. anyone have this issue?

All the people have said is set the apps you want to use manually in windows settings but that is obviously unrealistic as there is apps like minecraft and other that have launchers which means you would have to set the minecraft app that is opened. And you would have to set it for each and every app
