THANK YOU SO MUCH! Most of my unpaid items are from offers being sent. It's gotten bad enough that in the offer message area, I put in "this is a binding offer, accepting means you agree to pay" but I still have an item that I literally have multiple people asking about but one buyer has it tied up. I mean, either pay or cancel it! Shoot!

Thank you for sharing this. I didn't know you could set the amount of days. Sadly no payments are apart of this business, and I've been waiting until ebay contacts me asking if I want to cancel and relist. It's nice to know that I only have to wait 4 days now. It's annoying how many no payments there are...happens too often.

Thanks for the video. I went through the link you provided and just enabled that setting. I currently have a buyer who's offer I accepted (for $20.79) and it's now been two days and they still haven't paid. eBay should be sending them another reminder today. I have it set up for 4 days through the eBay unpaid item assistant so if it goes the full four days without being paid for, the transaction will automatically cancel, be relisted and the buyer will get a strike on their account for non payment. I hope it doesn't go to that. IMHO If people shop on eBay, they should be required to pay immediately and not be allowed to drag their feet for four days and hold up a seller's payment that is due them. Try walking into a retail store and walking out with merchandise and telling them "Oh I'll pay for this in about 4 days." You won't get very far.

It’s crazy that a platform like mercari has offers be binding and immediately take the payment if accepted but a giant like eBay still hasn’t gotten it together smh but a step in the right direction for sure

It really is. Once people catch on Mercari is going to take off. Ebay is outdated. It just has the most buyers / sellers compared to every other platform to its advantage

Yes this is very frustrating. It drives me nuts, that Ebay allows our products to be held in flakey buyer prison. I have had 5 offers that I accepted in the last week (the very reason I found your video). 3 have paid after being reminded multiple times. 2 are still in limbo. This is over $100 of merchandise not on the market for other buyers (as we all know). I send reminders every other day and find that people really don't give a rip. I understand people change their minds or they don't have the funds however I just wish people would communicate. Not all business is good business. I have had this setting set since it was enabled. Most of us resellers know this is an issue and just would like to see a solution, because complaining gets us nowhere. I really hope Ebay fixes this. Thanks for the the video. I just subscribed.

Thanks for this video. I had never heard of this until today when I made an offer on a sellers item and I was charged immediately upon acceptance of the offer. I'm okay with that, I guess, it just caught me off-guard and there are times I decide to change which card in my payment wallet I want to use last minute. At any rate, I decided as a seller myself, I'd like to implement this and I went to the buyer requirements page that you showed and apparently I'm already set up for it...and yet, I have an offer that I accepted this morning and it did NOT auto charge the buyer and it's still unpaid. Here we are a year later and I guess eBay is picking and choosing who gets auto-charged and who doesn't.

From info elsewhere the option to choose payment method is supposed to pop up. It doesn’t! Why didn’t they test this on buyers which are in the habit of CANCELING an offer rather than buyers like myself whom ALWAYS pays for their purchases?

Very very bad idea and it's going to cost sellers a lot of lost sales . Maybe sellers aren't aware of the many various negative issues this causes for buyers, especially when using Klarna PayPal in 4, PayPal pay4 or other payment plans. Example. A buyer wishing to make an offer and wants to use Klarna one time card to pay in 4, must create a one time use card, pay the first payment at the time of creating the one use card and now pay a small fee. If seller refuses the offer the buyer is left with having to cancel and wait to receive their first Klarna payment back. This new eBay make offer selected payment option is a very very bad idea on many levels and sellers will realize it soon enough when they begin losing sales on make offer listings

So can this be done with just individual items listed and not the whole group. For instance I’ve sold the same item 3 times in an auction for $200 all three times the buyer hasn’t paid (different buyers) It’s almost like this item is being stalked. How can I set this auction item up to be paid immediately after sale because this is like a week and half long process. Only to find out I’m getting no money again so frustrating. Thank you

Maybe it’s cuz I’m on a new seller on eBay, but it only has the option for 30 days of how long buyers have to pay for items. I also have immediate payment required but I still get people who “buy” (not using the offer system) and still and they still don’t actually pay for the item🤔 it’s also attracting a lot of scammers as well

Thank you. I'm sooo tired of people "buying" my items but not paying. Always the same story, someone who signed up to ebay a few weeks ago, has 0 feedback, and then doesn't pay and starts sending odd messages. Why does ebay allow this?
