How to set password on wireless Router or Modem (ARRIS)

In this video i show how you can set a password or change an already existing password on a Arris modem.

If you have an ethernet cable connect it to your computer and try accessing router webpage to verify that the password you had set is exactly what you are entering now

Also if you do not have a ethernet cable to connect with or have a device without a ethernet port, double check the password you are entering in what ever way you can might be a typo, also check that you are connecting using the security encryption that was used in the router/modem

Lastly if all else fails you should be able to reset the router back to factory default, but before that ensure you have the default password on you, it can usually be found on the device. The reset is usually a small inward button at the back of the router which can only be pressed with a small pin or pen point. You will need to hold it for a few seconds until the lights start blinking

don't type it in google search and ensure you don't see the google icon pop up, if it does then click the alternative without the icon

How to increase 2.4 speed

Unless your device allows for different bands of frequency it won't increase. However, you can speak with your ISP on increasing the internet speeds. They would be able to facilitate that speed increase Some things you could do also to help with the speed as it is are 1.use wired connection (ethernet) 2.disconnect any device from it that you aren't using, this free up the bandwidth and makes it communicate abit faster 3.upgrade your router to a newer model that can facilitate 5GHz band.

Check your device user manual for correct default log in and try again

@iamj_esse if you mean the device manual you should have gotten a booklet on receiving it, but if not you can look on the device itself there should be something to indicating the default log in.
