WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Always pull the crown to the time setting position and advance the time until the date changes then advance to 6o'clock THEN correct the date. Most inexpensive watches change the day/ date between midnight and 3 am if you use your method you may accidentally break the mechanism. Always find midnight then advance the time beyond 3 am before messing with the date.
