Setting margins in Microsoft Word is a straightforward process. Here are the steps:
For Microsoft Word (Office 365, 2019, 2016, and earlier versions):
Open your document in Microsoft Word.
Go to the "Layout" tab:
In older versions, this may be labeled as the "Page Layout" tab.
Click on "Margins" in the Page Setup group:
A drop-down menu will appear with several preset margin options.
Select a Preset Margin:
Choose from options like Normal, Narrow, Moderate, Wide, or Mirrored.
Custom Margins:
If you need specific margin settings, select "Custom Margins" at the bottom of the drop-down menu. This will open the Page Setup dialog box.
Set Custom Margins:
In the Page Setup dialog box, you can manually enter the desired margin sizes for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right.
You can also set Gutter margins for binding purposes if needed.
Apply the Margins:
After entering your desired margin sizes, click "OK" to apply the changes to your document.
