Electrical branches and splitters are essentially the same thing, except an electrical branch allows you to allocate a set number of rust watts that you set it to, while a splitter splits the main power source into 3 evenly divided circuits. Splitters can be useful for organizations but electrical branches are better for not wasting any energy and giving what needs power it's exact amount.

At least branches also need power 3 branches = 3 power, 1 splitter = 1 power. At least using a branch and splitter for 3 turrets cost 2 power and not 3

Not exactly the same. Each of both consumes 1 power on its own. Therefore, e branches give you 2 end outputs at 1 power cost, splitters give you 3 outputs at 1 power loss. It only gets funky at specific numbers, because the 3 way split of the splitter must be right or the extra percentage is lost. The system in the video eats 7 power, making the total 97. I know for a fact that 96 into 4 splitters puts out 9 @10

So, for those who don't understand still since he went over this too fast. The 6 branches equal 6 of the 9 turrets, one branch per turret, and the splitter equals 3 turrets. Giving you 9 total. I wish he explained the setup from the battery to the branches, not just connected 6 branches and a splitter. Super helpful video if you kinda understand. Frustrating video if you don't get electricity yet.

If a turret dies while using the branch method the branch will continue to draw 10 amps even if it's not powering anything. Using splitters your power supply to each turret will be dynamic and adjust as needed.

Just use 1 switch and 8 branches you can fit 9 turrets on each set all to 10 just get enough wind with the windmill to get up with the power. If you have a test generator then you can have 27 on one test generator

Dude just use 4 splitters. One splitter connects all 3 splitters. Comes out to 95 power uses

Yes, that's much better for multiple reasons. Besides using less power, splitters also don't use power for a potentially destroyed turret, whereas branches will drain the battery of all the specified branch power, whether or not it's being used.

The splitter makes me wanna throw up. Sure it’s 2 power more efficient but disappointing. Make it easy one yourselves and craft 9 branches. Set them all to 10 and connect turrets to branch out port only (left connector) then the power out (right connector) goes to the next electrical branch.

You can do it with less parts and 1 less power with 4 splitters. You're using 97 or 98 and it can be done with 96

@@XxMaTaRiFefornikoxX I do this all the time, you battery won’t run out. Windmill gives off about 140 power, large battery sends out 100 power. 9 turrets 90 power. 9 branches, 9 power. Leaving you with 41 power to consistently charge your battery

Too many branches. Make sure your windmill is high enough then do 4 splitters (forget this video too much power waste.) and connect all 9 turrets. Bam simplified version of this hellhole.

Just use 9 branches, it allows you to turn off each turret individually (by setting the power to 2) for ammo refills, changing guns, etc. or hook them all up to a switch. Be careful to keep the switch close to TC though, because raiders can turn off switches, but they cannot turn off branches without TC. This vid is autismo

​@@crazycarmal9792 well if your only using that circuit for turrets then 4 splitters saves you 4watts 😂. The one electrical branch can still be used to pass power on setting its output to 94watt. Splitters are way too big to be practical in most cases I'd rather use a branch.

if i dont get fucked by rng on my base location having a shitty wind as long as i put my windmill high enough i can do 9 on just 4 slitters and a single switch for on off between battery and first splitter. BUUUT if you get that weird build spot that doesnt give like 140+ wind, when the wind is slow it will drop below 100 and your using like 97 or 98
