Attach a mic to your pc (preferably a xlr mic because their the best) then you add an audio capture device and select the mic you got then it’ll work

you can use a voice recorder on your phone, stream your xbox to your windows 10 computer and have your mic on your computer, or use an audio capture device on OBS

To be absolutely clear, you need two monitors, right? In my specific case, one monitor that the game is being played on, and then the monitor that’s connected to my PC, which is capturing the gameplay, right? This is extremely helpful, I’m just a super noob!

No matter how/where you stream there will always be a delay. Its a good thing though, as it means the chances of you being stream sniped is low

Thank u so much! At first it didn't work for me, then I connected the xbox HDMI cable to the capture card. After that I only had one picture on the PC, I just plugged in the HDMI cable for the TV incorrectly. I just flipped it and it worked. : D

Tip: if you don’t have a hdmi input on your tv or monitor usually at your local electronic store they will sell items to change you input so you can have a hdmi input

no, the audio that often comes through most capture cards, tends to clash. maybe with Elgato you can, but i hear even with their cards it can be tricky. you have to figure it's one hdmi source after all, going from the console to the usb3 that plugs into your computer. so audio coming from another source may cause delay or lag, it's probably better to just plug a headset with a mic into the laptop. that way your mic becomes it's own audio source. but you also asked about party chat, i don't think that's possible with any of the budget capture cards on the market. i could be wrong, but i don't think iam. i use the evga xr1 lite which is better than this, and that can't do it. my guess is you wanna have party chat, you most likely will have to unplug it if your not recording anything. because if you plug a headset into your controller, you won't get audio coming through.

There are some good tutorials on KZbin for to set up stuff like discord in OBS. A bit of a short explanation is that you need something like voicemeeter banana (which is free btw) in order to capture audio from discord. You set up the output on discord as voicemeeter banana, and in voicemeeter you set up a second output device to your speakers/headphones (so that you can hear discord as well as in the recording). Then you take voicemeeter banana, and set that up as an audio capture device in OBS. That was kind of a bad explanation but there are good KZbin tutorials out there like HowToTech’s KZbin channel

Hello, this is a late comment but I've been trying to set up my capture card for months and I'm desperate for answers so: My capture card will receive my Xbox One's video and audio but not all the audio. The problem is that I cannot receive my party audio, or even my own audio, on my laptop. So the video works fine, the gameplay audio works fine but no party audio has been received. I would be extremely grateful for any answer.

I am a old school gamer and played games for last 30 odd years and still as passionate now into streaming side for last 10 years.
