Make sure it’s lined up at the top. Check the reed size try all the way down to a 1 or 1.5 if you can’t get any sound and are a beginner

if you are a beginner try 1.5

Be very careful with the reed make sure the flat side is touching the instrument and make sure the screws on the ligature are facing the correct position

You will need to get one! The clarinet will produce no sound unless you have a reed
