How to set up a French easel

My students were asking me to make a video about how to set up a french easel for plein air painting. It is very easy if you follow my instructions.
Also, a french easel is a good alternative for working at home because it compacts for easy storage.

Woww I literally just bought a full size one last night and now I learned theirs a half size 😒

So, with the half easel, one has to clean the pallet each time before closing the easel. Thats quite a waste of colour. Isn't it?

Start at with small or modest amount of oil. Find way to not waste. Perhaps excessive left over oil might be scraped and saved in a baggie.
