The General Idea on how this Home Karaoke System works: The Smart TV plays the video and at the same time sends the Karaoke Music Audio part to the mixer via a Digital to HDMI ARC Connection. The mixer also takes the vocal input from the microphones, and then combines the Karaoke Music and the vocal and sends that combined sound to the Sound Bar. The Sound Bar then plays the Karaoke Music and your voice simultaneously with the lyrics on the Smart TV.

Hi , I'm back to say thank you so much for this video guide. My old parents can sing to entertain every night now with this simple set-up. They hate bulky and complicated systems. This is so easy that they just have to turn on the TV and the microphones to sing immediately. Love it!!!!!

Thank you for showing how to set up karaoke system step by step! My problem is my old Panasonic TV doesn't show the word " PCM" anywhere in my setting! It has HDMI 1,2,3 and Arc! It has digital output...so I would hook up with mixer or analog converter..but couldn't change it to PCM as you said! What can I do?

Maybe your tv will not work. But before that, i would check the user manual and also possibly call Panasonic Customer service and ask. Most TVs should support PCM. I have not heard anything that doesn’t.

I have the Samsung slim sound bar that doesn’t have optical or auxiliary slots. It only has the micro HDMI which currently connect directly to the TV. How can I connect without the optical or auxiliary slots?

good video but why you do not connect optic out directly to your soundbar? And is it any sound delay between the song and the voice from mic with this setup? Is the volume of the mic low? Also wonder what type of voltage the mixer needs? I leave in Europe where standard is 220V

Hi. You need the mixer to mix the vocals and music before sending the audio to the soundbar. W.r.t. voltage, just make sure you buy the one that supports 220V. What I have allows 110V - 220V.

I just bought the mixer you linked on this video. Unfortunately we followed your step by step instructions but it did not work. We were able to pair the mixer but it would not pair with my cable that has the you tube channel. My AV receiver for the mixer is in a different channel

It is a speaker set-up question. It's not related to karaoke. I suggest you follow the user manual on how to connect the sub. Or call the customer service. Because the answer depends on your unit.

My guess is no, but To be honest, I don’t know! Sorry. You should probably call the TV manufacturer or maybe try it and make sure you are able to return the equipments if they dont work.

Does it have to be an HDMI ARC output from TV , can it be just a regular HDMI port to use with the mixer? Secondly, the output to the sound bar uses an optical cable, do you lose Dobly Atmos codec if your using the mixer as a pss-through? Thanks.

Most TVs do not have hdmi out. If yours do, yes you can use it. Optical cables and the mixer pnly supports pcm. So yes, you would potentially lose other formats. Not a big deal for karaoke though

This is actually normal. You disconnect the cable from the bose soundbar and connect that to the Optical IN of the mixer instead. Then you run another optical cable from the mixer OUT to the bose IN. If you watch regular TV though, you would need to turn on the mixer as well.

you don't need a digital to analog converter as optical and HDMI cables all transmit digital signal and the mixer in the video is also digital. So just follow the instructions in the video to set up your karaoke.

Hello. I think it has disadvantages and also disadvantages. Id say just make sure a mixer that has wireless builtin mics also have at least one slot for a wired mic. The one im using here has.
