In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Agree with the first person to comment. Zoom in on the screen so your audience can see better. No need to see the other unit, steering wheel, water... Great info, but guys like to look at the pictures! 😁

You can see all those things on screen, but we can’t. Hold camera close to unit. Thanks

What do you use the second 12 for? Lake map only?

Yes and down imaging

Your settings aren't that great. The result is it's way too dark, as it gets farther away from the boat, therefore eliminating any bottom details in the dark area. And, yes the camera is way too far away from the Helix too. Tom Boley has a July 2nd 2021 video you should watch. Great tips.

I wanted so bad to learn how to use the Side Image feature but I was afraid I would screw up the other settings. Now thanks to your video I feel confident enough to play around with the settings and Side Imagining. Looking forward to getting back on the water around mid-week so I can try this out. Thanks so much for breaking this down into language and steps that I can actually follow and understand!

Brent, how do you turn off simulation mode. I do not see simulation mode on my Helix to turn off and cannot get to start setting my unit up
