I really liked how you had the majority of your supplies in the frame, using them as background and for the viewer to see what you’ll be working with. It was visually appealing to see your table become less cluttered as you built your spreads. I don’t think anyone else that I’ve watched has done that. 😊

What I did to find my favorite book of the year is to pick a book of the month like you did and then for every month I have a grid box where I line up each book against each other. So January goes against all the other favorite books of the year. And at the end I'm gonna count up all the numbers for each book like a tally and then the one with the most votes will win book of the year. I find It works better than a book bracket.

Hi!! Your journal spread is one of my favorite I've come across ❤ I can't choose the best book of the year either, so I'm just doing my monthly best reads. I also can't do a longer TBR and loved that you did an open-ended spread of 12 books you'd like to read. English isn't my native tongue, but most of my reading and learning has been in Englsih. So I have a resolution to read more books in my native language in the coming months/year. I loved the music you had, it was so calming to watch. Happy to have stumbled across your channel! Subscribed 😇

I love this video!! The content, the music, the fact there’s no extra rambling just sticks to topic and such a soothing beautiful voice- I absolutely hit subscribe! Can I ask how you did your titles? Is it just written with marker on paper and cut out? Love your journal- beautiful.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment 🥰 yes, I just write down titles on chosen paper (preferably self-adhesive - it's a lot easier later on!) and cut them out.

Właśnie trafilam na Twoj kanał. Cudowny journal! Zdecydowanie podkradnę pomysły do swojego. ❤

Hi, thanks for sharing, I too I’m a mood reader and I definitely see TBR doesn’t work for me as well. I love your idea of 12 books for 12 months without setting a date goal for those ones. I might do the same thing as well.

Also, you mention that English is not your first language (you speak it very well - I wouldn't have known, had you not mentioned it in the video!), what is your native tongue?

What a great set up. I have mine all ready to film, but haven't taken the time to actually paste everything down on camera yet, so that video will be a little while coming yet. I love watching this kind of content and can't wait to see how you use all you're pages and hear about what you read. New sub and happy to be here.

I've seen your 2024 Reading Journal setup video and I love it (new sub)! 🤩 How is your reading going so far? I'm just getting out of the worst reading slump ever, hopefully it'll all be better from now on with my reading 🤞
@BooknBroom6 ай бұрын
@@ScrapAndStories It's going really well! I hot 20 books in q1 and am up to 36 I believe. So far no DNR books and most are 4 and 5 stars so I am having a really great reading year!! It's all about enjoyment. So try and think of the last book you read that you loved, and see if there are books along those lines. Generally I get out of a reading slump by asking friends who have similar taste in books to hand me their favourites with out any info. Reading it blind often helps.

Your video popped up in my recommendations because I’d been searching for reading journal set ups and I couldn’t be more pleased. I love your pretty journal and it’s so well thought out and tailored to exactly what you need, as opposed to having what most other people seem to have. I’m a little confused because you said English isn’t your first language and yet you seem word perfect, is the voiceover we’re hearing actually you speaking? If so your accent is flawless and you’d fit into my neighbourhood without anyone knowing you’re not a native here. Do you mind if I ask where you’re from? I’ve subscribed to see more of your lovely videos. Thanks for sharing 😊

I'm so happy you enjoyed the video! I'm from Poland, but I lived in the UK for a few years, so my English level is OK I think. Still, I need to practice it, so I won't loose this skill, and reading books in English is super helpful for me. Thank you for your support! ♥️
