Thanks Doc. Old video but I'm finally getting up the courage to give this process a try and this was quite helpful.

Have to thank you for sharing your knowledge. We need people like you to pass it on to the next generation. You're truly an artist and it amazes me that you pass it on for free unlike most people. It hobbies and arts like this we need the younger generation to pick up on because it gives them something to spend their time on other than useless video games etc.. thank you and God bless

Thank you very much. I know how hard it was for me to get information about building rods and I just dont want others to have to scrounge like I did.

Doc, your videos have been a very big inspiration for me in my own work. I am in the process of doing my first rod build and because of what I have seen of yours I am now planning on doing more than just a simple kit build and plan on incorporating some of these more advanced techniques. I would love to see more videos on the weaving process as a whole.

I just found this function on the site. Thank you for the great comments. The art part of rod building is a very personal thing and very satisfying when you get something nailed they way you want it.

In the DVD I show how to lay out the layers and I use a system of colored numbers to denote the layer. P2W uses the same methods. Each layer corresponds to a certain color. Sometimes I used really odd colors so the numbers on the print out are easy to see. Colors too close to each other are harder to see on the left list and even in the jigs.

Great video ! I'm such a newbie - does pic to weave tell you which layer is which ? How do you select what will be one layer from the next ? I bought you jig and your dvd by the way.

Doc,Does it make any difference what order the layers are set in the jig. Also, is layer #1 set in the jig first or is it in reverse order. Great videos, keep them coming.

great video but I am a newbie too and I think you should show a picture of what you are trying to achieve at the beginning because for 25 minutes I had no Idea of what you where trying to get as an end result.But still a great video.

Doc I am using two different red threads that are very close in color. They are the same number but different layers. Is there a trick determining the colors. Thank you
@docski3778 жыл бұрын
I usually tie a knot on the ends of one of the colors to help me figure out which one it is.

what do you charge ?
@docski3778 жыл бұрын
+HOOSIER O_o Not sure what you are asking. I am retired now and basically just help and teach plus do about 5 or 6 charity rods a year. If you are asking how much you should charge then I would need to know what exactly you need to know. Complicated question. Hit me up on FB or email me at docski377@aol.com

No sir i was asking what you would charge to do a weave for me. If you do that sort of thing
