Hey man, I'd really suggest watching the GarfieldIsDoc videos on how to attack/defend all sites. I've been playing since quarantine and am now 2x champ (having spent the first 2 seasons back being a carried gold) and honestly those kind of videos are what helped me get better so quickly.

Go into a local custom game, If you can do it with 2 people This will work better.. Set the custom round timer to the Max setting Get oryx... And have the 2nd person go Thunderbird.. Then run through and destroy the map running through all the walls Blow up the ceilings and the floors, Then run around the map until you have it memorized Also learning different angles while having the walls, ceilings and floors destroyed

Even as a siege vet, this was useful. I think in particular, more of stuff like the last part in Consulate would be useful, particularly for new players: Why do we reinforce some walls and blow open others? what's the purpose of a rotate? vault rotate (I actually didn't know that one), foot holes, head holes.

I have nearly 1000 hours on siege, and have been making feet holes for ages, because I saw them done by players better than me, though never understood what they were for. I thought at first it was for someone to play prone and wait for attackers, but that doesn't make sense, that mobility restriction is death. Then, for years, thought it was for audio queues, because you can hear easier through air than through walls. TIL that it's for angles such as this. Thank you, Gregor

Ye feet holes create horrible one way angles. If you're attacking against them the best thing to do is open up the whole wall asap, or at least a large enough section that you're comfortable winning a gunfight through it. Just whatever you're doing, whether attacking or defending, don't go prone on the feet holes trying to peek someone, you will get slammed.

Pretty sure Gregor lowkey became the best Siege KZbinr. Coconut Brah is a legend but the frequency of his uploads doesn’t compare to Gregor. Varsity uploads everyday though he’s not doing much content that is NEW and creative, besides hacker replay, which isn’t even his own gameplay.

Get 4 more buddies (I volunteer) and do a per map, per site. full site setup for "default" setups. each op takes care of specific part of the setup, and then watch the whole thing through spectator mode and show who is setting up what, then give a brief "This wall protects this, this player is going to roam hear to prevent X, this hole allows this angle, this gadget stops Y from happening, Operator Z is SUPER important to have because of this". Then just release a video per map. The cumulative knowledge of all the setups should give understanding to people looking to learn. just going over 1 setup on 1 map, with 1 example play, with 1 player running around isn't that helpful. Then after it's all done, get 5 more buddies and do an Attacker version vs the "default" setup, recommend ops and "attack paths" to take the site.

I genuinely love to see videos like this, and I wish a lot of this stuff was more commonly known by the general player base. I can't even count the amount of times I've been stuck in a losing situation and was forced into a corner due to poor site setup and the lack of map control. I wish Ubisoft made a bit of an attemp to promote educational videos about in-game strategies, tactics and general tips to increase the overall average player skill.

Head holes are a liability below plat I'm not even going to lie, just another angle for your teammates to forget about. Once you get in good lobbies though they're literally everything

My stack really struggles with where the rotates go and why you reinforce some walls for cover and put the rotates in specific locations. (they like to put the rotate on coastline:hooka-billiards far from the double window in billiards but don't get why you should have a small rotate on the side close to the window.) I've had trouble explaining the thought process for how to set up site and if you could make a video that has that sort of info I think it would help us lots.

Thank you for acknowledging the functionality of a vault rotate! Everyone just wants to spring through every rotate! The amount of times I'm setting up on hookah as smoke on coastline and I'm shotgunning the vault rotate and someone with impacts is like "here, let me help you out with that" and puts a giant full body whole in the wall, and I'm like "BRO WHAADAFUQQQ?!?! Now I can't play right there" is infuriating! Honest intentions of helping but the amount of ignorance is deflating. Wish I was back to being an ignorant silver sometimes

I know map content does usually not as well, but if you can throw one in between when possible it would be very much appreciated! I am not a new player so this video is not something I benefit from as much, a set up of Nighthaven labs would be better for me personally. But tbh I just eat up all the content you share because it's just so good haha. Perhaps an explanation as to why extending beyond site could be of great use to many players, especially if it comes with examples

Such is the curse of solo queuing. I typically do my best to set sites up well, and if my randos decide against it I just play along. It does suck when nobody gets hatch and you're a 1 speed 3 armor trying to anchor 😅

Generally you'll get the jist of what needs to be reinforced every single round and what doesn't. Just make a mental note if you see someone make holes on a wall that you shouldn't reinforce it straight away next time you play that site (wait for your teammates cue)

You want to put it back a little as it will allow for Jaeger to place an ADS or two to catch any nades from bunker.

Not a bug, and yes, if bandit/kaid tricking, it's very helpful. Other than that, it's not really helpful though

Not a bug mate, the game just has a really complicated sound engine. This only really matters if the wall is facing the outside though, on an inside wall you're generally going to be getting more than enough sound coming through the doorways.

Less Defender secondary util, more Attacker util clearing, and slowing of the game to make fights more even.

Utility meta was essentially when the operators who brought the most aids gadgets that were the most difficult to break (Melusi, Maestro) were must picks every defence round, mixed in with a shit load of deployable shields and combined with Wamai and Jager to make actually clearing all of it require professional coordination. They just nerfed every bulletproof defender gadget into the ground, removed Wamai's shield and nerfed the Jager ADS and it seems to be sorted now.

Does it matter whether wall rotations are crouch-height vs sprint-height?

Yes, a crouch rotation gives you infinitely easier gunfights when attackers push through them. Any rotate you think attackers might come through in the last part of the round (red stairs rotate on top floor clubhouse) etc. generally should be kept small enough that anyone coming through them is a free kill if you're looking at it.

Crouch hole vs Vault hole, what works best for certain sites?

Take this with a little bit of salt. And you'll eventually find out for yourself. Vault holes: easier to get headshots, you can back away and have more horizontal movement. Though, you are locked in an animation once you vault, making you a prime target and people will hear and see that, and your crosshairs fucked. Crouch hole: more silent and subtle, can be used to duck certain angles, you are not locked in an animation so your crosshair will stay consistent. Although, not as much horizontal movement

Really depends on who you mainly play on attack, imo. If you're a hard breacher you want to work your way towards site, if you're an entry fragger you're gonna be leading the way towards site. Roam clearer is gonna be either away from the rest of the team or far away enough from them to flank watch and make sure nobody is coming around to mess you up.

All strats on attack boil down to needing to get people holding multiple angles on a single objective so you can slap the bomb down. On some sites this means you gotta open 1-2 walls and clear out the room next to site, on top floor consulate this means people gotta rappel on some windows and push up the yellow stairs. Usually you'll get a couple kills while working towards this, and once you're actually in the site trying to get bomb down your teammates should be smoking everyone trying to deny plant.

Crouch holes give you a free kill if you wait for an attacker to go through one. Honestly I can't really think of many sites where you make a big rotate other than top floor Chalet, where because of the door to outside and the likelyhood they have the back walls open means you're going to get spanked trying to crouch through a little rotate.

I’ve played siege for 5 years. I’ll just admit, I don’t know how to play consulate. I don’t dislike the map, I just struggle to know how to play it. I am good as Emerald Planes, and I’m learning the new map. But Consulate I just am not good at because I don’t know how to go about it as a solo queuing player. I can hard breach garage and defend garage as a kaid, bandit, mirra, or Asami. But the rest of the map, I don’t even know where to begin as it plays so different to other maps.

Top floor consulate is tricky, attacks are pretty much always won by swinging into CEO and taking the yellow stairs, and defences are pretty much always won by holding yellow stairs and killing them when they swing into plant. In solo q I'd generally suggest playing the rappel as nomad or holding yellow stairs with Jager.
