Hi, trying to setup the autopot system, but Im a bit confused. The kit has 2 pads the one with the bronze and the one with the black, what goes where? The instruction tells to put the bronze one into the tray not the pot

This video was a life saver. I didn't have my Aquavalves fastened in on the tab/slot that holds them still, so they were floating around inside the Autopot XL system and overflowing out of the trays. Thank you!
@JA-wp6cj5 жыл бұрын
What if you added a control bucket with a float set to the desired water level for the entire system? If every bucket needs 4" of water, set it to 4" in the control and let gravity do the work. Install it inline between resi and plants and eliminate the need to have a float on every single plant. Simpler design, fewer parts.
@DarknessYT20103 жыл бұрын
just wondering how long do the plants need to be in the post before the root system get down to the water > and can you hand water from the top untill so ?
@gaschalk17 жыл бұрын
Does it mention anyway or does anyone know how the system corrects for salts build ups in the bottom of the trays. Is this handled manually or is this a problem at all. To me is must be.

Can a "click and drip" (or something similar) gravity timer be used with the autopot to help regulate the water a bit more?
@68majortom8 жыл бұрын
i was wondering what regulates how much water gets pumped in? i've read of folks grow rooms getting flooded.
@random51478 жыл бұрын
It is the "aqua valve" paired with the capillary wicking matts inside the pot which regulates the water. Yes floods can occur on this system im not too sure what causes the system to flood maybe a stuck "Aqua valve" or the pot is not in its tray properly causing the "Aqua valve" to constantly feed. It Maybe worth emailing autopot and asking what may cause a flood and get around it that way...
@68majortom8 жыл бұрын
ran dom HA!! If I'd bothered to watch on i'd have found that out for myself 5 minutes later when watching an animated demonstration, it says that there's a thing inside the Aquavalve that regulates 20mm of feed no more & you're right, if it floods it's cos you haven't got the valves on right, aren't you supposed to top feed them for the 1st 20 days or is that another of these gadgets i'm getting mixed up with? thanks my man much appreciated!!
@random51478 жыл бұрын
I never noticed the 20mm of water (only and no more) on the animated video. Believe me it's bullshit they stay too wet for too long In my opinion maybe it's good for coco as it really wicks up the water unlike soil which takes too long to adsorb and then stays too wet at the bottom of the pot and too dry on the top. It's just another gimmick system for the stoners to waste money on. Not my money mate! I borrowed a system of a friend never again!! And yes you are supposed to top feed only untill the root system is well established. But how do you check the bottom of the pot to see if the roots are poking out if when your remove the pot from the tray it's fills back up with water again. Yes maybe the plant takes what it wants when it wants but it's constantly sodden wet Its not going to breath and feed properly in my opinion. I'm going to Go with the halo watering system and control the feed intervals myself eventually building confidence to feed twice a day and make it fully auto. Good luck with which system you choose and keep it green...

ran dom i rewatched it and it said that the reason for Floodings was folk not having the 2 yellow valves aligned, fuck knows, but i'm like you..steering well clear!! :()

watching this while at work.. now I cant wait to go home and fix my flooded tented. Hopefully it is fully dried up now. I couldn’t figure out how to keep the float value system to the bottom so the 12 gallons kept flowing 😆 I didnt read that part about the groove in the corner. Thanks for the clip 👊🏾

Autopots are a great innovation in the horticultural industry. They use a gravity-fed design meaning no power, pumps, or timers are necessary. They're also highly efficient and when used right, give your plants just what they need to get great results: How To Set Up Autopot Systems - Tutorial #hydroponics #autopot #easy2grow #gardening #agriculture #horticulture #urbanagriculture #indoorgardening #containergardening #plants

I wanted to make a super soil and bio tab set up for soil, how would this fare with this system? I’d assume with super soil and biotabs the plant would need to be water from the top often and it will just cause overflow from the excess water wouldn’t it? Or would the bottom layer of clay pebbles holding water soak up into the super soil and make it moist?

They don't talk about how fragile the fittings are, namely the T Fitting where it joins the 6 mil pipe and the 6mil fitting on the valve. Plus if one valve isn't working correctly and stays open, or not secured you will awake to an empty tank and a huge flood. Has happened twice to me. . Plus you have buy every fitting again and they offer not service nor refunds. The system is crap and not user friendly like its promoted. Plus can not add enhancers etc.
