I love using the Freeform scale for getting this exactly right. You'd still draw in your 10" line just like you did, but *also* draw in a line that starts in the same spot, right at the front of your gun, but ending at the exact rear of the gun. Now with both horizontal lines drawn, select your blueprint image, hit S to activate the Scale tool, F to activate Freeform, and click on the leftmost vertex of the short line, then the rightmost vertex of the short line, and then the rightmost vertex of your 10" line. Make sure the Uniform Scale checkbox is selected (I think that's the name, anyway - sorry, I don't have my PC on right now!), and it'll all be proportionate, and scaled to the exact dimensions you wanted, with no guesswork or estimation involved :) I use Freeform for Scale and Rotation all the time. Super handy.

@overseastom I have some updates coming on the Veritech Fighter. I have not had much time lately because I have been remodeling my old house to sell, but that should be done in the next few days so regular updates will resume soon.

I think it's funny, I was modeling the same veritech in Plasticity. Would have been nice to have had these blueprints 😅.

@modelenginerding6996 I picked up the model kit from the hobby store for the model sheets. The kit is way smaller than I want, so I am printing one at a much larger scale. The ones online are very low resolution, so I understand what you're saying. I scanned the sheets at 600 dpi, which came out very clear & clean.

@@philprocariojr3563 Very cool. That's a great idea. I'm loving Plasticity for those kinds of projects.

@modelenginerding6996 It's incredible how quickly you can model things in Plasticity compared to other CAD apps. It has been a handy tool for model-making.
