OH MY GOSH! I am sending you a virtual hug! I am new to Word. I created a 42-page Google Doc and converting it into Word caused a plethora of formatting problems. Watching KZbin videos and fumbling around until after 2 am last night, nauseated and with a headache, I finally resigned to tackle my TOC problem the next morning. In 10 minutes you helped me navigate my way through fixing what had me stumped for hours last night. Thank you. I subscribed to your channel. I look forward to continuing to learning from you!

I have been looking for days for instructions like this; i.e., indenting TOC. The key is knowing/semantics of how to look for what you need.

Thank you. You have made this clearer, because other videos leave out certain steps. I am working with 2016; consequently I can do it a little differently. Thanks and have a great day.

Sr. You have done a very good job explaining how to do this. I had a TOC for my thises but I couldn’t remember how to edit it, so I had to start over and no one explained it in detail like you did I just 1 video. Just one thing.... when selecting the first line in heading to change format only took the one I highlighted not all 1st lvl headings nor the rest, I had to do them all manually. But you got me through the excruciating trouble of doing this... AGAIN THANK YOU SR ;-)

This was such a good video!!!! I wish I'd seen it sooner. I have to edit documents after others have screwed up the toc and when you don't really understand how they work it's difficult. This video really helped me understand how they are set up and think it may be easier to set up new toc's than figure out where they went wrong! Thank you!

Hi, I’m having difficulty adding in sections and sub-sections within a guide I’m trying to create. For example my first area within the guidelines is Introduction and within the introduction is a Charter statement, goals, hours of operations and support. Looking at my navigation pane I see Introduction and the link works to take me to the introduction area. However, those sub-sections with the charter, goals, hours of operation etc. isn’t reflected or linked in my navigation pane

Hey that's great. Now, how can I create a 2nd and a 3rd TOC - I mean a completely separate TOC? (BTY, I'm using Word 2003.) In my doc about weight-loss I'm creating there are three completely different sections - the Intro, the Diet section, and the Exercise section, each with their own separate TOC. When I did the Intro section everything went perfectly. (All just H1.) But when I went to do the next (Diet) section, it did not behave like I expected. I set the paragraph headings at H1, went back and set the cursor at the proper spot, went to Insert/Reference/Index&Tables/Table of Contents and hit OK - and it went right back up the the first one I did, it was all highlighted, and asking me if I wanted to "replace the selected table of contents". SO, what is the correct step-by-step to create that 2nd and my 3rd TOC? (In Word 2003.)

Very well presented. May I ask how do you insert those pages BEFORE the TOC such Acknowledgement, Preface and Foreword on the TOC. I hope you know what I mean. It will really be helpful. Thanks.
