@@DmitrySaharov Park action , after a set time of inaction the camera will invoke the park action if enabled, this could be return to a set pre-set , start a tour or patrol , etc. its very helpful to stop the camera being left pointing at the wrong object

Hello my friend, I have a PTZ camera and I want to set it so that it goes to a specific place at a specific time and then returns to its original position. Can this happen automatically every day or do I have to manually call the Preset?

if you go into the PTZ web configuration and go to the PTZ sub menu , under there is tab for park position , enable this and the time after any inactivity , drop the box down and select preset and then the number you want it to go to , that is how you do this 😊

there is way under the ptz menu under configuration, there is a pan and tilt and preset speed yes, it may give you what you are looking for hopefully

regards patrol , if motion occurs it wont stop based on that it will just stop if there is a dwell time, and then move on , but won’t stop specific to the motion sorry

So if you setup preset patrols whereby the camera will go to your set camera views can you also have auto tracking running at the same time which would then take over the patrol presets and automatically follow the motion it has detected, I'm hoping your say it can because I need to set this up and spent 3 hours trying to get it to work to no prevail.

Hi martin, the auto tracking currently is a lower priority than the patrol , so when the time to get to the next pre-set is reached it will then move and override this , you can increase the pre-set dwell time to give it time to track , but it will at some point be overridden sorry

Is it possible to have smart tracking work while patrolling? It seems it stops working once i run a patrol. Also there seems to be a delay after you go to a preset for the lines or areas to come up can this delay be removed? Ideally id like to have the PTZ on patrol and when it picks up a vehicle or person begins to track them, doesnt seem to work like that?

Hi , its possible but very hard to get it stable as the patrol will have a higher priority than the smart tracking and at some point it will over ride it

Yes it can , but there are some limitations,. The tracking is lowest priority so will then be overridden by the patrol , but new PTZ may improve this , will do video shortly

I am adding ptz camera ds-2dea404iw to hik vision nvr, currently no hard drive fitted. Cannot save presets or patterns etc, are they stored in head or will they be stored on hard drive when fitted ??

Your videos have been a great help to me so I came back to this video after having a problem with the Park Action feature. It continues fail and I hoped that you might have an answer. All of my presets work properly when manually chosen. I have Preset #1 set as the initial position and as the one used in the Park Action setup. I do not have any other Patrols or automated things going on at all that might conflict or over ride something. I just can't this camera to automatically return to its #1 preset after it has been elsewhere. Everything else seem to be okay, auto-tracking, moving around presets, etc. I have performed a Reset to Default settings but no joy. Can you think of any reason why this might be happening? For my purposes I literally cannot use this camera without the Park feature functioning properly.

i have set up a patrol which works absolutely fine, but when i am out and about and use that camera from my phone on IVMS 4500 the patrol function will not restart, until i get home and press the play button in the patrol settings, how would i get the camera to automatically resume after using the phone app? thanks in advance.

Hi , the best way is login to the PTZ via the web interface , then under PTZ sub-menu you will see scheduled task ,enable this and put a time of say 60 secs in , and make the option for patrol , and 1 if that’s what has been programmed. Then save , so after using the PTZ after 60 secs it will now start that patrol again. Does that make it easier ? 😊

Hi! I´m interested in setting a PTZ to monitor two different points for specific ammounts of time (hours). Can I set my PTZ to monitor Point/Preset 1 from say 6 am to 4 pm, and then Point/Preset 2 from 4 pm to 6 am? If so, how do I do that? May be I can follow this tutorial and set it to those times instead of 30 secs or si 30 secs the limit? Thanks in advanced!

@@danielshopov Hi , the PTZ control on Web or local ? on local menu please locate the icon bar at the bottom middle of each camera view and select PTZ icon , it will then open up the PTZ control sub menu , for the web interface the PTZ control will be shown on the right hand side of the screen , unless I am getting confused on your Question ??

Hi great vids. Ive just found your channel and its very useful. One quick question which I'm not sure is possible? I have a PTZ camera setup which I have setup to do a patrol between 6am and 10pm and after that it stays in preset one park mode. Is it possible when I use the 3d positioning on the camera and point it at something I want to watch the camera stays there for say 5 minutes rather than switching back to its set patrol? Thanks

thanks for the feedback , the issue with setting a patrol up or scheduled task , this will then take higher priority over using something like 3D positioning, have you tried calling the Pre-set to stop and then start the patrol again after you have finished??

Yes, you can login to the web page and set the “scheduled action” to run a patrol of the pre-sets at the times needed , if you need help with this please let me know

Ok , the park function when enabled , you set the time say 30 secs, so after any action , no matter what the camera after 30 secs will then return to a pre-set perhaps or patrol , so it’s a mechanism to always get the camera to a home position or to carry out a patrol etc etc. does this make sense?
