How to set up Remote Desktop automation in UiPath

With servers and workstations increasingly moving out of offices and server rooms and being accessed by Remote Desktop, the need to automate these remote machines is increasing.
In this quick demo, I'll show you how to set up UiPath, so you can automate applications on a Microsoft Remote Desktop.

How can I get Uipath to search for the files needed for an automation on the remote and not on the local computer? Is it convenient to share a local directory with the remote so that the files can be read and the automation can continue on the remote?

do we need these extensions if we are directly automating in server machine where studio is already installed? we are not using the studio in our local machine but a studio which is already installed in server machine.what extensions we need for that in both local and server machine?

Even this is an old recording, does anybody knows how to use an unattended version with this process? Does this mean I start a windows client via Orchestrator and it executes mstsc and run the automation? Do we need the microsoft remote desktop and app - tool as well on an unattened bot?

Not to my knowledge, no, since the Remote Runtimes aren’t robots as such.

​@@UiPathwithJeppe , there is a limitation unfortunatelly: it works with Enterprise version, not Community (which many use to learn and test)... since Remote Runtime Installer can be downloaded for Enterprise version only.

Jeppe... I've got confused by UiPath forum where people conclude that Remote Runtime Installer work with Enterprise license, only (forum.uipath.com/t/uipath-remote-runtime-installer/358405/6). Fortunatelly, I've tested today... and it works very well. On the remote machine just install the Remote Runtime Installer for Enterprise, it will work just fine with Community license.
