Good, clear explanation. 👍🏻 It’s also good to see how much travel you used in the course of an average ride. If you only go through half of your travel as I was, then perhaps you can afford to lower the pressure, soften the suspension.

Is this the same measurement for urban/city riding?
@theproscloset
@theproscloset 2 жыл бұрын
This is the recommendation for riding trails. For urban cycling, you'd likely want the suspension to be stiffer since you're riding on hard pavement as opposed to soft trail. But it's really personal preference and depends on your city. Like if your city has a bunch of potholes, you probably would want your suspension to be softer.

Sounds like your fork might need servicing. Take it into your local shop and have a mechanic take a look at it.

Is stroke length of the rear shock the same as the travel of the shock?
@hereismyusername007
@hereismyusername007 2 жыл бұрын
No, there is a leverage ratio from the rear suspension travel to the shock stroke. The rear suspension has more travel than the stroke of the shock itself. An example would be 2:1, where the rear travel is 100mm but the shock stroke is only 50mm.

When we indicate sag should we fully deflate our fork because I checked my sag and it’s apparently 8%
@cycll8150
@cycll8150 2 жыл бұрын
Probably not since if its a new fork it probably has nitrogen which wont be affected by the outside air, I usually remove 5-10 psi everytime im removing air from my fork
