The Brother LS14s uses one thread at the top and one in the bobbin area.

I used it there for the first time and I was loading up the bobbin but it doesn't stop

you will need to check the setup again. Then try loading the bobbin once more. Or better still, watch the DVD that came with the sewing machine, I am sure it would help.
