Thank you so much. Mine still wouldnt connect at first and i couldnt figure out why. After some tinkering, i found that you have to make sure your computer is not taking control of the bluetooth to your controller. Make sure the controller is not on bluetooth to the computer and all is golden!

I've had issues with this adapter being plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my desktop PC. It would stop functioning after a while. When I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port I didn't have issues anymore. Perhaps it can't handle the amount of power that USB 3.0 ports supply or there is something wrong with my USB 3.0 ports lol.

Hi, yes it needs to be plugged in all the time but you do get a little fly lead in the pack so you can plug in the fly lead and then plug the adapter into the fly lead so you could rest it a little bit away from the laptop/PC. You can connect up 2 controllers to the one dongle.

They are the older model from the original Xbox One, the controllers without the Bluetooth.

Hi, yes you can use the USB extension instead or if you have a longer USB to Micro USB lead then you don't need the USB extension BUT then you will have a wired controller. Thanks Vince

Your controller should sync if you put batteries in it, plug it into your Xbox for a few seconds, then unplug it. I doubt that this dongle would work to be honest.

SO my xbox wifi card is out and I was wondering if anybody knows if you could use this thing to just connect it to your console without syncing? Nice, I think I'm going to pick one of these up because my desktop doesn't have a bluetooth/wifi card (because lets be honest, it's direct ethernet connection or nothing on this beast), but daaaaamn these things are overpriced.
