Just finished setting up this camera. This video helped me synch to devices, so a big thanks. One problem I came across was my mistake. I tried to synch the devices while my phone was in data mode non wifi. Could not do it. I then connected to my wifi from my phone and initiated the synch command which worked on the second try. Btw I also placed 2 tf cards inside....one on cam other on base just to be sure I can record anytime without running out of storage. Picked up the cam at home depot for a good price which didn't break the bank.

I bought my wyze outdoor camera in July 2022 and I have not been able to pair my hub with my phone app. I went through the steps but hub lights keeps blinking blue and doesn’t get stable. Kindly assist me.

I've pulled my hair out trying to reconnect v2 cam to base after a reset. The same exact cam was previously connected to the same base continuously over the past 2 years. Its incredibly FRUSTRATING. I've tried pairing at least 50 times over the past 2 weeks.😢

How far from the camera will the base station be needed? Does the base station need continuous connection to modem/router? My modem/router are upstairs in my office, camera is outdoors covering the driveway. These are questions that should have been addressed in this presentation.

I bought this and it worked for about 4 months. It suddenly disconnected from the WiFi and I have not been able to connect it again ever since. I'm moving to a different product.

Is the ethernet cord required after setup or can I move the base to the middle of where I set my camera for longer range

Can't get it to go past connect to network for blink. It's connected, but the app just says click Wi-Fi setting to change to wyze blah blah

* I've inserted the SD card into the camera as well as the Hub or base station and unfortunately, I'm unable to get recordings to either the camera SD card or the base station SD card. I followed the set up instructions for enabling the SD card, several times... "every time I try to have the events saved to the SD card I receiving an advertisement to sign up for the subscriptions"... I had purchased the starter kit, it came withThe Hub for the camera and SD card included as well as cables and cords as well as a few screws included for Mounting it to the wall or ceiling... If anyone has any other suggestions for saving the video events to the SD cards your suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Looking forward to hearing your recommendation... PS I also attempted to set up with the firewalls disabled as well as any VPN or antivirus software that might be running in the background

This camera is junk do now buy it. It has all kinds of bugs and won't connect to your wifi eventually. Its like the pillow princess of the camera world. Its junk. Notice how he couldnt connect it well that gets worse. Its junk do not buy it.

The camera is called Wyze Cam Outdoor. The video is showing how to set up the camera, not how to drill holes and where to place it outside your home.

These are terrible products. The cameras are often not working, inpossible to get them connected if they just randomly disconnect, the signal is terribel even when the base is in very close proximity to the camaras and the wifi box. Cant get them to charge . The app regualty tries 3 times to connect when you want to live stream from one of the cameras and then says it cant connect. Also,trying to get support from Wyze is an exercise in frustration. I do not recommnend these.

Sigh. This product is not ready for prime time. You have to buy a base unit? And the base unit has to be plugged into the router? My router is 50 feet away through 2 doors. That's not gonna work for me. I will return this item. I thought that the camera could receive wifi independently. Bogus product.
