How To Setup A Large Kitchen Knife In The KME

Besides recording in HD the biggest bottle neck to HD KZbin video's is the uploading process. This 16 minute HD video will take over an hour to upload at almost 5mb a second. Also, playing with manual settings on the camcorder so this video is a bit washed out.
In this video I simply show you how to setup a 10" chef knife in the KME Precision Sharpener. It's as simple as changing the angle you place the knife in the KME jaws. It's important to note that the angle that makes this difficult is the angle that effects the spherical bearing. The angle becomes acute at the tip of the knife blade not allowing the spherical bearing to reach the furthermost sharpening point. I sharpen this knife in 22 minutes beginning with a Coarse Diamond and finishing with a Kangaroo strop loaded with 4 micron CBN Emulsion. From this point forward, and this knife wasn't dull to begin with, I only need to do my weekly EDC maintenance. I hope you find this video helpful. As always, comments and suggestions are welcomed.
