This was absolutley fantastic..... Thank you so much you had me at my edge of my seat ...... however I still can't get the sound pads to show up in ecam or on the recordings or the live..... sounds great on the RCP the mic sounds great on ecamm. Just no sound pads.... can you guys point where I can find the answer for this. Thanks you so very much for doing this.

Please help! I have a rodecaster pro, Sennheiser mke 600 shotgun mic, and a Sony ZV E10 camera and Ecamm. Is it best for me to setup my rodecaster directly to my computer or directly to my camera? The mic is mounted on top of my camera, and I was going to buy and audio interface to connect the rodecaster to my camera as well. Is that necessary? Or can I just connect them all separately to the computer for ecamm with no problems (i.e. audio problems)? I've watched so many videos but have not figured this setup out. Note i only need to pre record, not go live on ecamm.

Hi there! Thanks for the note. You'd connect your camera to your computer via a USB or HDMI cable. If you choose HDMI, you'll also need a CamLink 4K (or equivalent). For audio, you'll connect the Rodecaster Pro to your computer. The microphones will plug into the Rodecaster Pro. In Ecamm, you'll see the camera show up as a camera source and you should select Rodecaster Pro Stereo as your audio source. You'll control the audio settings on the RCP. Hope that helps! Does it record all guest in Ecamm interview mode?

Hi Tim! You don't need the Rodecaster Pro to record if you're using Ecamm Live. Ecamm Live can record your video and isolated audio tracks of all of your guests, so you repurpose however you'd like. The RCP has the ability to also record the isolated audio tracks.

Doc… you mentioned part way through about powering it through usb power bank? I just picked up a new Anker power bank for my sound device MixPre6 II. Would that be enough for off site powering of the RCP?

IT does require a 2.4A minimum so a power-bank with USB PD (power delivery is better). The mAh size basically states how long the power-bank will last per charge. - doc

Would love to see a video or webinar on using Ecamm Interview mode with the RCP, with specific setup instances for both in studio interviews and remote interview sessions with guests - using both the recommended features of Ecamm and RCP - and for post edit for both KZbin videos and podcasts. 😂 That's not asking for a lot is it? 😂
