What piences of wood did you hae to buy to help make the platforn. It looks really nice and I would like to make one form myself.
@ba_golf2 ай бұрын
Hi, it was a few lengths of 2x2 cut to measure, along with ply wood as the top.

Using the Garmin R10 with your outdoor cage, can you set up an iPad to see shot flight simulation - like at the driving range that uses shot tracking monitors?
@ba_golfАй бұрын
@laguilar00 Yes, the Garmin R10 simulates ball flight based on measured data. You can either do driving range sessions or play local golf courses through the golf sim applications.

Very good cant decide re hillman or forb pop up probably hillman as dont need to take down
@ba_golf7 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes, if you have no need to dismantle, I would certainly go for this cage. I also had a forb pop-up net prior, but safety became an issue.
@gavinleeburn17 ай бұрын
Thanks safety did the pop up have trouble with wind ? The three metres are out of stock on Hillman might wait as not sure if 2 metres big enough as have garmin r 10 as well and want 10 foot to net so 2 metre one might be bit short in protecting the unmentionables lol tom hanks , also lob wedges etc
@ba_golf7 ай бұрын
@@gavinleeburn1 I didn't get any issues with the pop-up in the wind, but to be honest, I didn't use it in any harsh conditions. I would certainly wait for the 3m cage, as you won't be disappointed 👍

I am well capable of some nasty shanks so having the hitting area outside the cage would worry me. Is the 3m * 3m enough space for you to move your hitting mat a bit further into it so that it is more shank-proof? Or would it not leave you enough room to swing?
@ba_golf2 ай бұрын
Hi, yes you could certainly move the hitting area more inwards, however this will depend on how tall you are, and how wide your swing is. I am 6,5 so I just placed my hitting area 1-2 feet outside of the cage entrance. Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the video. Just bought this cage. Im thinking it might be too big now. Would it be possible to leave out one of the centre sections bars to bring the size down of the cage. Thanks
@ba_golf11 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you. Yes you could, but it would only stand at around 7ft. So you would need to be careful of the top bar when swinging your club. Let me know how this works out for you 👍

Great video, what do the neighbours think have you had any complaints, im in the market for a net but was wondering it you had any problems/ backlash from them, did you need any planning permission? Cheers
@ba_golf11 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment. My neighbours are fine with it and any sounds. Well at least I think they are, as they still say hello and have not complained 😊 And no planning permission required, as it is not a permanent structure 👍

How has the wood held up? It looks like it is untreated wood used to support the plywood. I am looking to do a similar build but worried about rotting of untreated 2x4. Did you glue or attach the mat to the plywood? Does the wood creak or squeak when using it?
@ba_golfАй бұрын
@jerodwarney3055 Hi, yeah, it is holding up well, but this is probably due to the fact that I pack it away after each use. No, I haven't treated it, but I have been thinking about applying something to make it last longer. No, the mat is just placed on top of the platform and also put away after each use. And no, the wood does not creak 🙂, hope this helps 👍
