When you install a NVR do you do everything via the computer (NVR software) or do you also use a monitor connected to the NVR to do setup etc.?

At 18:16 during the Playback section of the video, you pull up a calendar and on the 3 days prior to the date you have the blue dot on there are small blue dots on Mon the 1st, Tues the 2nd and Wed the 3rd. What do those blue dots mean? Great video!

If I've no mistakes, the blue dots are dates that has camera image recorded.

Can I create a view with say 9 cameras (we have 13 total cameras) and save that so tomorrow when I open Smart PSS I can just click on the view to see those same cameras? I could do that in my Hikvision but haven't figured it out on day 1 of Smart PSS. Thanks

Hi, u need to choose read only when u need to keep all records untouchable. For instance when something happens and don't want that the records get lost by some camera recording and overwriting your data, but u need to turn on dvr to search some images

I have Smart PSS for mac. It is so glitchy and clunky. It takes forever for videos to load. Even when there is motion, the recording will stop for 10-15 seconds and then start again. It's so frustration and annoying. Any ideas as to why this is happening? The mobile app seems to have better functionality.

Yup for me too. Im On a Intel iMac last model they made with 40GB of ram and it’s very shoppy. It also hoggs storage like nothing else. I running 16 cameras and it cashes up 100Gb of storage in no time. I tried to find something in settings to change hard drive but there isn’t.
