Question in API Gateway: Let's say I have a REST API with lambda function and I need to verify one particular header(X-Telegram-Bot-Api-Secret-Token) with a secret token passed with every request. How do I verify and block this in API Gateway itself? I know we can use lambda authoriser, but again its a lambda execution. I do not want my lambda to be triggered for any invalid request. If you read this. Please help.

Hi Sankara, Good question. As far as I am aware, there is no way to do this without using a Lambda custom authorizer. However, to ensure each request contains the custom header and atleast a non-blank value, you can use API gateway request validation. Having used Google's Apigee for API Development and life cycle management, AWS API Gateway has a long way to evolve. Is there any AWS service that supports handling API lifecycle management on the flight of requests?
