If you can afford canister filter then you can go for SunSun canister 603B , small canister can be used upto tank of 2ft. Or else use HOB filter. Use bio media as shown in this video. Remember, to choose filter refer filtration rate ;it should be 5-6 times more than you tank water capacity. A perfect filter depends on filtration capacity, mechanical and biological filter process. Regarding greenish appearance, check whether tank is getting day light or you use aquarium light most of the time, that is why I assume algae is growing.

No matter which filter you buy... Your fish will die unless you provide them with a proper sized tank.

@@tanujchaudhuri799 , yes over stocking is always remained a concern which leads to fishes in stress and increase ammonia level in tank. Need to remember the size of the fishes as well, some fishes grown to bigger size with time some grown to a moderate size. So calculate when these fishes will be bigger, whether they will get enough space for swim or not.

that is over stocking for that size of tank. Also you have Koi a pond fish which can potentially eat up your most of the small fish. And Danio will be aggressive if they are low in number or with fish with long fins or tails they will nib and chase other fish.
