You can sign out of iCloud and iTunes Store.

Ty so much! Can you explain the steps for an older iPad air Gen2 that i bought at the Salvation Arm? After the HELLO screen, It asks for the passcode.. supposedly it was factory reset.. i think the latest version was iOs 15 for this vlassic iPad.

If its asking for a passcode then it wasn't factory reset, unless you know that passcode there is no way to get into the iPad.

Thanks for this video Chris. I came across this issue while setting up some new iPad Mini 6 devices for one of my schools. (I have to set up the Apple Ids when I bring the devices to the school, as I can't set up any more Apple Ids using my phone - Apple put a limit on this - so I set this up with a school / teacher's phone instead). Before ios 17, the option to set up without an Apple ID was shown, but now they hide it. Sneaky Apple!

I did what you said, but I still wanted Apple ID on my iPhone. Also, it didn't give me the x option for Apple ID. How can I set my phone up and install apps without Apple ID?

If you just scroll up. It shows the option that says forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID.

Only if you want to connect it to an Apple ID. if you just want to use the internet and email and a few other preinstalled apps then you don’t need an Apple ID.
