Do you know if it's possible to set up a cortex with something like Radiomasters ER8 reciever?

Cortex will work with any setup. If your not using the BUS Setup than you have to use the Wire Loom that comes with it.

I reckon its safetest to mount theses Cortex gyros in the default orientation , its possible to accidently put the jumper in after powerup which resets to factory default orientation

Yes correct! That is what we do in most installations. Always strive for servo plugs facing up and forward.

Quick question I know some of the jets already come sprayed with that textured paint. Do you ever spray the textured paint? If so, what brand do you use????

All of my painted interiors are done by me. None come done from the manufacture. Base paint and then rustoleum stone paint.

I have had issues with recalibrating the controls , it won't pickup the Gyro On/Off channel unless it has sufficient deflection. So I have to go and change the gyro on off channel from 0 - 25% to +100/-100% so it picks it up, then be sure to change it back ....

Havent had that problem myself but our defult program starts off with -40% gain.

Is it possible to set a fail-safe on the Cortex outputs? I see how to set fail-safe on REX's outputs, but not for on its EX Bus wire to the Cortex.

Failsafe only set on Jeti devices.

Hi Jonathan. Why must the gyro controlled functions be on the first 6 ports? I have remapped my CB 210 so that elevator 1 is on port 3 and elevator 2 is on port 11, what will happen when I have it like this with my Cortex pro?

Because when your setting it up with NOT a CB Box and running the servos from the gyro it's needed. When using the CB Box it's the first 16 channels available. There is another video on the different setup with a CB Box.

@@thelightersideofrc what the benefits by are going for the cortex?. I can agree that it integrates but what makes it stand out compared to the jeti assist. The cortex is much more expensive in our country compared to buying an assist. Asking because this is interesting for me to see that you use a 3rd party gyro. Wanting to learn more
